EFCC to quizz Lamido, Elechi
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has invited ex-Governors Sule Lamido and Martin Elechi for questioning for alleged diversion of funds.
Lamido is to answer questions on alleged money laundering. The allegations against Elechi border on mismanagement of the State/Local Government Joint Account.

The suspected hoodlums, who have allegedly been terrorizing residents of Nkpor and its environs, Idemili North Local Government Area, Anambra state, were set ablaze by angry mob.
The end came for the robbers when they attempted to rob a Northern trader at gun-point. The trader who came to procure goods at the Nkpor New tyre market was intercepted by the robbers at the road side under the watchful eyes of residents.

President Buhari reacts Saraki & Dogara's emergence as National Assembly leaders
President Buhari has reacted to the emergence of Bukola Saraki and Yakubu Dogara as the President of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives respectively.

Courts Quashes Extradition Proceedings, Arrest Warrant Against Kashamu
Two judges of a Federal High Court in Lagos yesterday nullified the provisional warrant of arrest obtained against Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Senator-elect for Ogun East Senatorial District, Prince Buruji Kashamu.
One of the judges, Justice Okon Abang, while ruling on a fundamental rights enforcement suit brought by Kashamu to enforce the court’s earlier judgement barring the NDLEA from extraditing the PDP chieftain to the United States of America for drug related offences, held that NDLEA fraudulently secured the warrant of arrest by concealing fact.

Military moves command centre to Maiduguri
With the military relocating its Command and Control Centre from Abuja to Maiduguri yesterday, the anti-Boko Haram war is for more steam. President Muhammadu Buhari has ordered military chiefs to embark on “no retreat, no surrender” tactics against the insurgents.
A statement by the Acting Director, Army Public Relations Col. Sani Kukasheka Usman, said the Chief of Army Staff, Lt.-Gen. Kenneth Minimah, gave a directive for the relocation of the command centre from Abuja to Maiduguri.
Some top military chiefs from Niger Republic, Chad and Cameroon are expected in the country today for a strategy meeting to firm up the war.
