Do richer women have better sex?

After prying into the sex lives of Spaniards, a team of researchers have concluded that richer people -- particularly women -- report higher rates of satisfaction in the bedroom.

Overall, it appears that Spaniards are happy with the quality and quantity of their time in the bedroom: a whopping 90% of men and women said they were either quite or very satisfied with their sex lives in general.

Though commonly associated with decreased sex drive, menopause does not necessarily signal the end of improvements to a woman's sex life, according to a recent study.

A group of British and Swiss researchers set out to examine the stability of women's sexual health over time, including changes to different aspects of sexual response in pre-and post-menopausal subjects.

A cop was baptised with boiling water by his fuming wife who confronted him over infidelity. However, he does not understand why and how she got the nerves to prove her case.

"I open my wallet for her, but she won't open her legs for me," said Milton Ndlovu, a policeman based in Plumtree while seeking a protection order against his wife after she scalded him with boiling water when she found used condoms in one of his trousers' pocket.

A 59 year old grandmother was on Wednesday found dead in her bedroom at the One Day Road, Awkunanaw area of Enugu.

The woman identified as Mrs. Agnes Elue, from Ogwashi-Uku, Delta state was said to have been clubbed to death last Sunday by her teenage house boy whose identity is being withheld. Elue was an academic staff of the Federal Government College, Enugu‎ before her death. She was popularly known as “Nwanyi Maluogo” by neighbours because of her kind disposition.

Lagos spends N535m as WAEC registration fees

The Lagos State Commissioner for Education, Mrs. Olayinka Oladunjoye, has said that the state government has paid the West African Examination Council (WAEC) N535,047,000 for the examination and administrative fees for 42,995 SS3 students who are currently sitting for the May/June 2015 West African Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (WASSCE) in the state.

The US officials say they consider Boko Haram a serious problem but still don’t trust Nigerian military enough to give them American weapons. The US officials think that the Nigerian troops may lose these newest weapons to their Boko Haram enemies.

The US officials told press last week that US is going to help Chad, Niger and Mali that have borders with Nigeria, in fight with Boko Haram, giving these countries military aid worth $35 million.

However, Nigeria won’t get any help from US to fight Boko Haram militants because Nigerian troops aren’t credible enough to deal with them.

Gov. Emmanuel Uduaghan of Delta State made some confession recently. The medical doctor turned politician confessed that it was impunity, intimidation and lack of internal democracy that made the PDP lose terribly in the just concluded elections. Senators and House of Representatives members who failed in their re-election bids yesterday started moving their personal effects out of the National Assembly complex.

The development came less that about one month to the proclamation of the eight National Assembly.

A Federal High Court sitting in Lagos yesterday fixed May 8 to hear an application filed by controversial Lagos-based businessman, Prince Buruju Kashamu, seeking to stop his extradition to the United States of America on alleged drug-related offences.

The speaker of Abia State House of Assembly, Hon. Ude Okochukwu, has announced the passage of the state’s 2015 appropriation bill of more than N105 billion.

Hon. Okochukwu who made the announcement during the House plenary session in Umuahia, said the appropriation bill shall be deemed to have come into effect on January 1, 2015.

Earlier while presenting the report of the budget to the House, the chairman House Committee on Appropriation, Mr. Martin Azubuike, said that the committee had recommended that adequate machinery be put in place for proper collection of the state revenue.

He noted that the 2015 budget will improve the state’s internally generated revenue (IGR) and the living conditions of the people.

Kirikiri inmates forced to pay for transport to court

Inmates at the Kirikiri Maximum Prisons, Lagos, are being forced to pay for their transport to the court for appearances, following the breakdown of the truck attached to the facility.

It was learnt that the prison occupants, particularly the Awaiting Trial Inmates, were made to pay varying amounts of money from N200 to N500 as transport levy.
