Woman ‘begged married man for sex so she could get pregnant and stay in UK’

A woman ‘begged’ a man to have sex with her in the hope of getting pregnant so she would be able to stay in the UK, a court has heard.

Jose Yampanya, 38, from Bristol, met the woman through a church and spent time with her while his wife and children were visiting the Congo.

Mr Yampanya claimed the woman threatened to cry rape if he didn’t succumb to her demands as she stripped down to her underwear, Bristol Crown Court heard.

The woman allegedly cried ‘please Jose, help me’ before asking him to have unprotected sex with her.

When Mr Yampanya refused, she screamed.

The 38-year-old has been charged with attempted rape, which he denies. More details on Metro UK
