Sharing same bed: Making it work

Albert awoke suddenly from sleep. His damn breathing difficulty had started again. He searched around frantically for his inhaler when the horrific realisation dawned on him; he had left it on the television console when he was watching the late night news. He stared dizzily at the door and felt on the bed for his wife’s presence. Then he remembered that tonight was the night they slept on separate beds. He tossed and turned, and attempted to scream her name but nothing came out. Two hours later, his wife came into the room to wake him for his prayers and found him lifeless. Her screams pierced the hollows of their sombre neighbourhood.

Cultural recommendations, religious affiliations and individual preferences come to play when a couple decides on whether they will use same or separate beds. As cozy as it may be, there are also some disadvantages that come with this practice, even though the advantages are more. Below are some ways to work around the practice:

Don’t ignore anal bleeding –Expert

In this interview with MOTUNRAYO JOEL, a lecturer at the University of Lagos and honorary consultant General Surgeon, Lagos University Teaching Hospital, Dr. Abdulrazzaq Lawal, discusses anal fissure and its treatment

What is an anal fissure?

An anal fissure is a wound in the anal canal. Technically speaking, it can be described as a tear distal to the dentate line in the anal canal. Pain during the passage of a hard bowel movement, and sharp pain that continues afterward are the most common symptoms of an anal fissure. Sitting can be quite painful with an anal fissure. A few drops of blood may be seen in the toilet bowel or when wiping. In an infant, there may be blood in the diaper. The sphincter muscles that surround the anus and help prevent stool leakage may go into spasm and cause longer lasting pain with an anal fissure.

Impact Of Masturbation on Fertility

Masturbation is the Sexual Stimulation, especially of one’s own genitals (self masturbation), often to the point of Orgasm. Self stimulation usually with a hand or both hands, by oneself or sometimes with a partner.

This could go out of control and the person becomes masturbatory, indulging in excessively self-absorbed or self-indulgent. This act can take place on one self or between a male and female, or same sex.
It has become necessary for me to touch on some aspects of masturbation, in response to several enquiries and probing questions I have received from our numerous readers.

Masturbation does not necessarily lead to infertility, depending on your particular situation.
It also has no effect on your health as most people think, but each individual must assess the reason why they are masturbating, and unless it is for medical reasons, during the need to produce a Semen sample for processing to treat infertility.
