The Director, Banking Supervision, CBN, Mrs. Tokunbo Martins, who stated this at a press briefing after the 321st meeting of the Bankers’ Committee in Lagos, said the central bank, in collaboration with the committee, had also decided to stop the serial debtors from buying foreign currencies at the official interbank foreign exchange market.

In this case, the group were Mexican soldiers and the secret route led to the USA.
Soldiers and federal agents arrested nine people after discovering a tunnel hidden behind a wardrobe in a house in Tijuana that emerged in California.
Wired with lights, the route was to be used by cartels to smuggle drugs across the border, police said.

Abiola, who lives in the Ifako area of Lagos, told our correspondent she employed Aniefiok on March 30 through an agent, Anthony Akpan, and she agreed to be paying her N18,000 per month.
She said the suspect was well-behaved and never showed any evil trait, until she broke into her room on April 6.

President-elect Muhammadu Buhari yesterday vowed to make judicious use of the nation’s resources, declaring that he will neither embezzle nor allow anyone to embezzle the country’s resources.

A Lagos-based lawyer, Mr. Femi Falana (SAN), has advised the Ekiti State governor, Ayo Fayose, to take the impeachment notice served on him by the 19 All Progressives Congress members of the state House of Assembly seriously, saying the notice is valid before the law.
Citing sections 91, 96 and 188 of the country’s constitution, Falana explained that what was required to serve an impeachment notice was one-third of the members of the assembly, noting that the 19 members that signed the notice were more than the one-third of the total legislators required by the constitution.

Korede was a special guest at the three services of the Lekki branch of the dynamic church under the leadership of its youthful shepherd, Pastor Bolaji Idowu.But Pastor Fabunmi is not thrilled by the artiste’s invitation to perform on a church alter. He quoted James 4:4, “

Inspector General of Police, Suleiman Abba has said according to his findings the Oba of Lagos did not make the threat credited to him because the Oba has denied the allegation levelled against him. The IGP made the statement while responding to questions concerning the Oba’s alleged threat. Hear him;
“On the issue of Oba of Lagos making a statement about who the electorate should vote for in the governorship election, I must tell you I saw it in the media and I tried all my best to verify whether that statement was made and, so far, what I have been able to gather is the fact that the Oba himself denied it. And if the Oba denied it, who am I to say that he didn't make it.
However, if for any reason that becomes a subject of further efforts to confirm if he did it or not, I think we will leave that to the future. But for now, this is what I have.” he said.
