Christian convert alleges torture in Egyptian prison, begins hunger strike

An Egyptian Muslim who converted to Christianity in 1998 after he found God’s love began a hunger strike in prison this week to protest his mistreatment, persecution, and “illegal” sentence, his lawyer said.

Bishoy Armia Boulos, 32, is the first Egyptian to legally attempt to change his religious identity from Muslim to Christian on his official ID, which rankled the 90 % Muslim population.

Popular Kannywood actor and comedian, Rabilu Musa aka Dan Ibro has died. He died yesterday Dec. 9th but the cause of death has not yet been revealed. Rabilu was jailed several times by the Kano State Government under the ex-Governor, Ibrahim Shekarau, for acting in movies believed to be violating the censorship rules in Kano. Dan Ibro subsequently laid low until recently when he started featuring in movies again. May his soul rest in peace...amen.
