Ebola Outbreak Sierra Leone now has more cases than Liberia

Sierra Leone has now recorded 7,798 cases of the deadly virus, according to figures published by the World Health Organization on Monday, December 8.

A rapid rise in Ebola cases in Sierra Leone has seen the nation overtake Liberia as the country with the largest number of cases of the disease.

Sierra Leone has now recorded 7,798 cases of the deadly virus, according to figures published by the World Health Organization on Monday, December 8.
The new statistics show that Ebola is spreading fast in Sierra Leone even though Liberia still accounts for most of the deaths from the disease.
Ebola has infected nearly 18,000 people in the current outbreak and 6,346 of that number have lost their lives to the disease.
Sierra Leone has been especially affected as it has lost 10 doctors to Ebola.
