Image That Looks Like Jesus Appears In The Sky, Leaves People In Awe

You don't have to be a believer but sometimes some things seem too coincidental to be playing out naturally.

When Alfredo Lo Brutto captured a stunning image of the sky, it was too hard not to notice that clouds formed in such a way to resemble the iconic Christ the Redeemer statue in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Speaking of the illuminated version of the Son of God, Alfredo said, according to the Daily Mail, “I was enchanted by the view. I don’t often share pictures on social media, but when I took this one, I instantly felt like I wanted other people to see it, because it was so beautiful.”

Whether or not it is a true reflection of Christ or whether it's just people looking for what they want to, it's hard to deny how fascinating the clouds have formed. Many skeptics call the ‘figure’ merely a coincidental cloud formation benefitting from the light given by the Tyrrhenian sea in Italy. Nevertheless, it does bear an uncanny resemblance to the famous statue.

Rio de Janeiro's famed Christ the Redeemer is one of the most iconic statues in the world. A new statue called ‘Christ the Protector’ is even taller and was recently built in a small town Rio Grande du Sol with a population of 22,880 and completed on April 22, reports The New York Post. The statue is 140 feet tall,

much higher than Rio’s 98-foot Redeemer. But the most interesting feature? It has an elevator leading to a heart-shaped lookout point at 112 feet. “It will be a glass opening from where people will be able to film and photograph the valley,” said head project supervisor Artur Lopes de Souza to the Web site of the Friends of Christ Association that funded the statue which cost $350,000 to build. It's still not the tallest status of Christ. It's third on the list following Jesu Buntu Burake in Indonesia and Christ the King in Poland, which are both more than 172 feet tall.
