The Islamic State’s barbaric boss treated American hostage Kayla Mueller as his personal sex slave before she died earlier this year, according to a report published Friday.
Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi repeatedly raped and tortured the 26-year-old Arizona aid worker while she was being held captive in Syria, counter-terrorism officials told ABC News.
"We were told Kayla was tortured, that she was the property of al-Baghdadi,” Kayla's parents, Carl and Marsha Mueller, told ABC News.
The shadowy Al-Baghdadi went so far as to personally delivered Mueller to the home of ISIS commander Abu Sayyaf, officials said.
On multiple occasions, Al-Baghdadi returned to the house where Mueller was imprisoned to sexually assault her, the officials told ABC News.
Mueller was working with Syrian refugees when she was captured in August 2013.
ISIS has claimed Mueller was killed by a coalition air strike in Syria on Feb. 10. Her death was confirmed after the terror group sent her family pictures of her corpse.

But U.S. officials are still not certain how she died.
Mueller’s death came after an American-led operation to rescue her and several other hostages in July 2014 failed because ISIS had shuttled the prisoners to a different location.
The information about al-Baghdadi’s direct role in the captivity and physical abuse of Mueller was drawn from, among many sources, U.S. debriefings of at least two Yezedi teenage girls, ages 16 and 18, held as sex slaves in the Sayyaf compound as well as from the interrogation Umm Sayyaf, who was captured in the U.S. raid, the officials told ABC News.
The officials stressed that all of what transpired with many girls kept as sex slaves inside the Sayyaf household hasn’t been reconstructed completely and is still is in the process of being verified, though al-Baghdadi’s role in abusing Mueller is certain.
