Oscar Pistorius Could Be Out Of Jail In Three Months

Oscar Pistorius could be out of jail in three months’ time.
And he hopes that if he gets parole, he will be allowed to work with disadvantaged children.
He is serving a five-year sentence for shooting girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp dead in 2013.
Although he was jailed for culpable homicide in October, South African law means he will be eligible for parole in August.
The athlete’s solicitor, Rohan Kruger, said: ‘He is managing in jail. He’s isolated but hanging in there and praying to keep up his strength.
‘He is keen to become involved in assisting children in whatever opportunity comes up.’
Mr Kruger said Pistorius would also undergo an anger management course when he is out of prison.

The solicitor said his client had turned down a string of film and book deals, but has no money left.
He had his lower legs amputated when he was just 11 months old, but became one of the world’s most recognised athletes.
Pistorius is currently serving his term in the hospital ward of Kgosi Mumpuru prison in Pretoria.
Prosecutors are appealing to have his conviction overturned, and upgraded to murder.
If that happens, he could be behind bars for 15 years.
