Police officials have arrested a woman after they offered her a ride only for her to pop a question to them demanding to know if she was permitted to bring her marijuana into the patrol vehicle.
The 36-year-old woman, Michelle Sanford from West Volusia in Florida, faces drug charges after she was arrested by the officials.
World Wide Weird News reports reveal that police officials were dispatched to a different house in the evening of the eventful day for a possible domestic dispute only to meet the ‘extremely intoxicated’ woman.
Further report from the police disclosed that a sergeant offered to help take her home to her father’s house, an offer which she accepted.
She allegedly took some clothes and an open beer, but was rebuffed by the sergeant who told her that she could not bring the beer along.
Sanford further asked the sergeant if she could take the weed so that she can smoke it in a joint at her father’s house.
Meanwhile, Sanford’s 46-year -old boyfriend, Thomas Laudenslager initially warned her not to ask the officer about the weed as it might land her in jail but she waved him off saying that “It’s just weed and he might be cool with it.”
She went ahead and showed the sergeant the weed which eventually led to her arrest.
She was later charged with possession of marijuana.
