The owner of the first Open Mosque in Cape Town, South Africa, on Sunday, December 14 invited Christians to a special Christmas lunch at the place of worship.
The lunch was aimed at uniting and improving relations between Christians and Muslims.
This is not the first time case of the Open Mosque welcoming people from different religion.
The Open Mosque welcomes gay people, Muslims, as well as non-Muslims and also allows women to lead prayers.
The Mosque founder, Taj Hargey, says everyone irrespective of their religion, race or sex is always welcomes to use the mosque. .
“We’ll have Muslim volunteers. We’ll start preparing the food for Christians to come enjoy inside the mosque. We’re proud to be the first mosque to do this,” Taj Hargey said.
