Photos: Jackie Appiah turns 31


Yesterday marks the 31st birthday of pretty and smart Ghanaian actress, Jackie Appiah, who came to this world on 5th December, 1983 in Canada.

Jackie who started her acting duties at the age of 12 in church progressed through the years taking up roles in Ghanaian television series including ‘Things We Do for Love’, ‘Tentacles’, ‘Games People Play’ and ‘Sun-city' before growing into a full movie lady.


Her passion for acting has led her to feature in over 70 movies both in Ghana and Nigeria. Her face has adorned many billboards and graced several magazines.

She has won numerous awards, including the prestigious Africa Movie Academy Awards (AMAA) for Best Supporting Actress in 2007, Best Actress in a Leading Role at the 2010 Africa Movie Academy Awards, Best Actress in a Drama at the just ended Africa Magic Viewers' Choice Awards in Nigeria as well as earning nomination for the Best Actress in a Leading Role at the forthcoming 2014 Ghana Movie Awards.

Jackie Appiah expressed her appreciation to God for protecting her life to experience another successful by uploading beautiful pictures with these captions via instagram.
