According to City People, a woman in Abuja recently lost about fifty million Naira to fraudsters who posed as prophets finding solution to her problem.
It was gathered that the woman, Chichi Akparanta paid the money instalmentally with the largest amount being five million Naira given sometime in November.

Reports say the fake prophets had informed her that she was going to lose her job in less than two weeks and would lose her two kids schooling abroad.
Based on the fake prophesy, she was said to have truly believed them to be men of God. After they had fleeced her of about fifty million Naira, they tried killing her when she was no longer forthcoming with money.
The prophets reportedly gave her acid in a  container claiming it was a special solution that would reveal to her who was behind her problems.
Akparanta was instructed  asked her to mix it with any soft drink and take it around midnight. Somehow while in  the process of mixing the acid the liquid poured on the ground and she was surprised by what she saw as the acid ate up the rug in her room.
The victim then decided to try it on other things and to her surprise, the woman realised she was given acid to drink and would have died instantly if she had followed the instructions of the fake prophet.
It was further learnt that, Akparanta had called one of them to find out why they instructed her to carry out the act which would have cost her life. The surprised men asked her if she was still alive as she was expected to been killed after ingesting the acid.
