The Navy SEAL who says he shot and killed former al-Qaeda leader Osama Bin Laden in 2011 has been recognized as Rob O’Neill.
Rob O’Neill, 38, is an ex-member of SEAL Team Six who has been showed on screen in Zero Dark Thirty, Captain Phillips and Lone Survivor.
According to the report, Rob O’Neill is a highly-decorated veteran, who was encouraged to speak out after he lost military assistances when he left the SEALs after 16 years of service, rather than finishing the full 20 years of service.
It would be recalled that Washington said on May 2, 2011 that bin Laden was killed by US militaries in his compound in Abbottabad, Pakistan.
