TERROR ATTACK: AL SHABAAB kill 32 Kenyan Christians in Mandera after aWARNING

A Nairobi bound bus was on Saturday morning hijacked by men believed to be Al Shabaab militia, who killed 32 people who failed to recite the Quran.

Confirming the incident, Mandera County Commissioner, Elvis Korir, said initial reports indicated that about a 100 armed militia stopped the bus and ordered everyone out.

Korir said the attack happened as the bus climbed the hills of the notorious Omar Jillo area in Arabiya Ward, Mandera East Sub-county.

“We are told a hundred armed men stopped the bus just after it left Arabiya area and all the passengers were asked to come down. They were then divided into two groups, of Somali and non-Somali,” the County Commissioner said.

The Commissioner said the militia asked everyone on board to recite Islamic verses and those who failed were sprayed with bullets as the other group watched in disbelief.

“We are told more than twenty-eight people have been killed and many others injured but we are yet to know the exact happening since we are planning to dispatch a team of security personnel to the scene,” Korir said adding that Kenya Defence Forces (KDF)  have been sent to the area.

Mandera Police County Commissioner, Noah Mwavinda, also confirmed the Saturday morning unfortunate incident, saying the 32 were executed at close range.

“I can confirm to you that there was unfortunate incident where about 32 innocent travelers were brutally killed by Al-Shabaab militants after the bus they were travelling in was hijacked and driven some metres off the road before it was sprayed with bullets,” said Mwavinda.

Already, a joint security operation led by the Kenya Defence Forces is underway to recover the bodies of the decease and pursue the Al-Shabaab terrorists.

The attack came hours after our intelligence issued a red alert in Mombasa and Nairobi saying Al Shabaab was planning a major attack on Kenyan soil over the weekend in revenge of the ongoing profiling of Muslim youth in Mombasa.

We continue to urge Kenyans to be vigilant and report any suspicious person to the police! Share this information to keep Kenya safe!
