(Shutterstock)Thieves in Guinea have stolen blood samples believed to contain Ebola during a roadside robbery, officials said Friday, November 21.
The robbers waylaid a vehicle which was transporting test tubes containing blood to a test site in Gueckedou from Kankan prefecture in central Guinea.
The Press Officer of the Guinea Red Cross, Faya Etienne Tolno stated that the blood samples had been taken from a suspected Ebola patient on Wednesday, November 19.
Health officials have appealed to the thieves to return the potentially dangerous blood samples.
