Liberia’s President Declares Free Tuition In All Public Universities
President George Manneh Weah on Thursday declared that all undergraduates entering public universities across the country will enjoy free tuition.
“Today, I’m excited to announce that I have declared the University of Liberia and all other Public Universities in Liberia tuition free for all undergraduates,” Weah wrote on Facebook without giving any further details.

Daughter sues dad for refusing her marriage
A 20-year-old woman, Amina Hassan, yesterday took her father, Hassan Adamu, to a Sharia Court in Magajin Gari, Kaduna for his refusal to allow her marry the man she loves.
The woman, who lives with her grandmother on Bashama Road, Tudun Wada, Kaduna said through her lawyer, Ado Ali that she wanted the court to order her father to marry her off to her heartthrob.

A British woman has been questioned by police in Spain after doctors found a dead tortoise inside her vagina, according to reports in the Spanish media.
Staff at the emergency department of a medical center in the south of the island Tenerife are said to have called local cops after making the bizarre discovery, the respected daily El Dia claimed.

Hero doctor’s dad died shortly after last of trapped soccer kids was rescued
The last member of the rescue team to leave the Thai cave, Australian doctor Richard Harris, has lost his father.
Harris’s boss Andrew Pearce says in a statement the father had died shortly after the last of the 13 soccer team members was freed from the cave.

Rice smuggling: FG to shut land border in few days
The Federal Government says it will shut down the land border between Nigeria and a neigbouring country in a few days time to avoid smuggling of foreign rice into the country.
Chief Audu Ogbeh, the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, made the disclosure in Abuja on Monday while speaking with youths in a leadership clinic under the auspices of Guardians of the Nation International (GOTNI).

Children in UK exceed annual sugar intake limit in six months – Survey
Children in UK have consumed more than a year’s worth of sugar in less than six months, public health figures showed.
While four-to-ten-year-olds should not have more than the equivalent of five to six sugar cubes per day, they are consuming 13 on average, according to data from the latest National Diet and Nutrition Survey.
