President Muhammadu Buhari on Sunday appealed to the militants vandalizing oil installations in the Niger Delta to come to the negotiation table in order to end their arms campaign in the oil-rich Niger Delta.

Buhari said this would afford both the government and the militants the opportunity to decide how the nation’s resources could be managed instead of agitators picking up arms against their fatherland.

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) on Sunday reiterated its total ban of petroleum tanker drivers from embarking on night journeys across the country from Monday, Dec.19.
Mr Boboye Oyeyemi, the FRSC Corps Marshal, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos that efforts had been put in place to impound any truck found contravening the order.

President Muhammadu Buhari will, on Wednesday, launch a N10 billion agriculture environmental impact fund to support women farmers to increase access to food production.

These include women, whose farmlands were affected by environment degradation and terrorism.
