Drama as pregnant woman runs into Police Station to stop husband from beating her over sex
There was a mild drama at Ejigbo Police Division after a pregnant wife ran to the station in tears seeking police protection to prevent her husband from further beating her over sex in Lagos State, western Nigeria.
In response, the police arrested the man and committed him to sign an undertaking not to beat her again before he was released on bail,PM News reports..

The park of the Association of Maritime Truck Owners in the Berger, Mile 2 area of Lagos was in turmoil on Wednesday after a mechanic, identified only as Oshare, reportedly stabbed his friend to death and injured several others.

A South African woman has been found guilty of kidnapping a two-day-old baby in 1997. Police accused her of fraudulently claiming to be the girl's biological mother since snatching her from a hospital in Cape Town.
The 50-year-old woman was arrested last year after suspicions were raised when there was a similar-looking girl at the child's school.
DNA tests then proved that the two girls were sisters, police said.

The House of Represen-tatives Committee on Telecommunications is insisting that the initial N1.04 trillion fine imposed on MTN Communications Nigeria Limited for failing to disconnect 5.2 million unregistered subscribers on its network must be paid in full, instead of the reduced penalty of N780 billion.
The Nigerian Communica-tions Commission (NCC) slapped the N1.04 trillion fine on MTN last October, but later reduced it to N780 billion and gave the network provider till December 31, 2015 to pay up after the company had pleaded for leniency.
