What do men and women want from each other?

                                                              Gloria Ogunbadejo

People tend to ask couples who have been married for a long period what their secrets are. I always find it an odd question because by virtue of the word secret, it suggests it is not something one wants to share. Besides, one couple’s successful ingredients may not work for another.

The two most important questions asked relating to the dynamics between the genders are what do men want from women and what do women want from men? It is one thing to know the answer and make a decision on how to respond to it.

People against anti-corruption war afraid of Buhari – Oyebode

A Professor of International Law and Jurisprudence, Akin Oyebode, in this interview with TUNDE AJAJA, talks about Buhari’s government and the implication of some of the steps he has taken so far

You were optimistic about Muhammadu Buhari’s government before he was sworn in as the president, after 100 days in office, are you satisfied with his performance so far?

He is still revving for take-off, like an airplane, but he’s taken three months already and most people are somewhat agitated about the delay of the take-off. But he has said Nigerians should bear with him and that he met a lot of rot in government which he wanted to clear before he could launch his programme. But I think one thing that nobody can take away from him is his reputation as an incorruptible public officer who is held high in the estimation of the people on the basis of his probity, transparency and anti-corruption stance.

9 Characteristics Of HIGHLY Desirable Women

The dictionaries define “Desirable” as “worth having or wanting; pleasant, excellent or fine.”

Any man or woman who has dreamed of a future has probably created an image of what he or she would desire most in their partner. And most women have probably wished to be more desirable at some point. While the world keeps hankering over what exactly are the characteristics of highly desirable women, the truth is that we can only speculate. The definition will keep evolving.

However, through careful analysis and studies, it is safe to say that highly desirable women will likely have the following nine characteristics.

Why Are You Crying?

"Why are you crying?" he asked his mom. "Because I'm a mother," she told him. "I don't understand," he said. His mom just hugged him and said, "You never will!" Later the little boy asked his father why Mother seemed to cry for no reason. "All mothers cry for no reason," was all his dad could say.

The little boy grew up and became a man, still wondering why mothers cry. So he finally put in a call to God and when God got on the phone the man said, "God, why do mothers cry so easily?" God said, "You see son, when I made mothers they had to be special. I made their shoulders strong enough to carry the weight of the world, yet gentle enough to give comfort.

God won't ask the square footage of your house.

He will ask how many people you helped who didn't have a house.

How to Get out of Your Own Way

1. Face Facts: YOU may just be the bump in the road that's slowing you down.

Often the most difficult step in getting out of one's own way is recognizing that you are indeed, in it. When you encounter problems in achieving your goals, carefully consider whether or not you are the source of those problems.

2. You can do anything you want. However, you may not be able to do everything you want.

Most of the time we get in our own ways by trying to do too much all at once. By working hard at trying to do everything we end up accomplishing very little. Concentrating on one or two projects at a time will actually increase your chances getting what you want.
