What is prayer

What is prayer?

What is prayer? Prayer is a very simple thing: communication with God. Though often directed heavenward, the reverse can also be true. Therefore, prayer is not a mere repetition of words, a position of the body, or a means to participate in a religious society. Prayer is the human heart before its maker. It is appropriate anytime and ideally, all the time.

Learn to enjoy every minute of your life.

Learn to enjoy every minute of your life. Be happy now. Don't wait for
something outside of yourself to make you happy in the future. Think
how really precious is the time you have to spend, whether it's at work
or with your family. Every minute should be enjoyed and savored.

Reading dispels prejudices which hem our minds within narrow spaces. One of the things that will surprise you as you read good books from all over the world and from all times of man is that human nature is much the same today as it has been ever since writing began to tell us about it.

Nine Steps for Solving Any Problem

For any problem, no matter how big or complex it may be, there is a solution. Use these nine steps to find it!
What are the similarities in problem solving, decision making, and goal achievement?

Actually, they're alike in many ways. A decision that must be made is little more than a problem awaiting a solution. We might even call it a simple problem. When we're faced with a decision, we rarely have to choose between more than two or three alternatives, whereas, in solving a problem, we sometimes face what seems to be an endless list of possibilities. And, what about goal achievement? Isn't a goal a point we wish to reach? The problem is to move from where we are now, to where we want to be. So, problem solving, decision making, and goal achievement are all closely related functions of creative thinking. It's important that we keep this in mind.

How to Build a Good Personality - Dr. Richard J. Krejcir

Make sure you have a godly disposition!

Read ROMANS 12

For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; and to godliness, brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness, love. 2 Peter 1:5-7

Do people treat you unfairly? Have you ever wondered why? Well, we live in a fallen world, and we are all filled with sin. Sin affects our relationships and personality, the way we treat people, and the way they treat us. Yet, even in sin and temperament differences, we have the choice to make a difference and we do that by growing in Christ. So, are you? When we are growing in Him, and producing Fruit and Character that glorifies our Lord, we are exercising the true, important substance of our personality that shows we have been touched by Christ and are able to touch others, too.

According to Juncker's proposal for mandatory quotas for EU states which is set to be unveiled Wednesday, Germany would take 31,443 and France 24,031, to relieve the burden on Greece, Italy and Hungary, the source told AFP.

Spain would take 14,931 under the plan, the source said.

God Really does have a Purpose behind your Problems!

God is our refuge and strength!

"Why doesn't God help me in my troubles?" This is a legitimate question to ask. A lot of Christians tend to be afraid of asking God why, or earnestly seek to resolve their crisis. Thinking I do not have enough faith or I would not go through this. Or I do not want others to know, for they would think bad of me or that I caused it. Or we use the crisis to grab the attention ourselves.

If we are going through tough times, we need to know why, and what we should do when we are in them. If not we become confused, frustrated and disillusioned. Yet in the Psalms we see David go through so much and still trust and obey more than most of us could ever do. And he does this without the New Testament at his disposal, or the scores of resources and places to seek help that we have. Yet David does ask God the hard questions, but he did not stop there. David also knew God intimately and trusted him wholeheartedly even in times of severe trials, and even going through them again and again. Just read though the Psalms, and see David's passion and conviction to God's call.

Do Christians Who Divorce Have the Biblical Right to Marry Other People?

In my opinion, only God can truly answer this question. Spouses are encouraged to spend extended time in the word and obedience to it, as well as extended times of prayer and fasting, and seeking godly counsel. All destructive relationships and toxic counsel must be severed as you seek to answer this question.

Many great Bible teachers are divided on this issue. Some believe that re-marriage to another is never allowed unless one of the spouses dies, but others suggest that it is permissible when adultery and abandonment occur.

The Bible and Money.

The Bible and Money - What do money bible verses have to say?

The Bible and money may not seem to be related, yet there are many verses in the bible on money.
"Money is the root of all evil." - Some have said. This bible verse is possibly the most misquoted bible verse of all. 1 Timothy 6:10 reads: "The love of money is the root of all evil." Truly, money is a necessity - not evil in itself.

God wants us to take what He has given to us and multiply it! These verses from the bible on money and prosperity should inspire us that God is on our side. We do not have to be in debt and a slave to our money. He wants to pour out his blessing, and increase and prosper us in every way! We can be free to not only enjoy the blessing of God but also be a greater blessing to others!
