Nigerian Mum who Gave Birth to Quintuplets in London gets Let Off £145k NHS Bill

A Nigerian health tourist who cost the NHS £145,000 having quintuplets has said she never even saw a bill.

Bimbo Ayelabola, 37, had to have a complex caesarean section after travelling to Britain while pregnant in 2011. The operation and neo-natal care for the five babies cost the Health Service in excess of £145,000 – but Miss Ayelabola never paid a penny towards the bill.

Tonto Dikeh is now officially married to Mr X, Churchill Oladunni. Their traditional wedding held yesterday at Tonto's hometown in Obiokpor LGA, Rivers state.

When women are not interested in sex or struggle to be physically intimate with their partners, my experience in talking to them is that they generally tend to blame themselves (I’ve never understood that). Many women actually say they ‘fake’ it (I used to think that was only in magazines).

Many women believe it’s their duty, and it doesn’t really matter if they don’t want to as long as they take care of their partners (another rationale that I find curious). Don’t get me wrong, it goes without saying that there will be days when both couples may not particularly be in the mood and you find ways to attend to your partner in the way loving couples do. I am more concerned about women who are not paying attention to those ongoing uncomfortable emotional or psychological feelings they have in relationship to sex and intimacy with their partners.

On June 13, 2015, a baby was dumped at Obazuaye Street in Evbuareke Quarters, Uselu, Benin City, at about 11am.

Residents, including Mr and Mrs Osarhiakhi Ebohon, thronged the scene to catch a glimpse of the little girl, wrapped in a black nylon bag. The Ebohons, among other residents, placed curses on whoever might have thrown the child away. The police was invited to take away the baby who was later sent to the Ministry of Women Affairs in Edo State. But later that night, Mrs. Ebohon observed that their eldest daughter, Joy, was feeling uneasy. She tried to find out what her daughter’s problem was, to no avail.

However she went to inform the husband to probe Joy to know her problem. At about 5am the following day, Mr Ebohon woke her daughter up and threatened her to tell him the cause of her unease.

Former Governor of Rivers State, Mr. Rotimi Amaechi, on Saturday, warned his successor, Mr. Nyesom Wike, against taking God for granted.

Amaechi also said he decided to shun the judicial commission of inquiry set up by Wike because the panel was illegal.

The ex-governor, while speaking with his supporters and members of the All Progressives Congress in Rivers State, stated that he would only appear before the commission of inquiry if Wike complied with the law.

China's top legislature adopted amendments to Criminal Law on Saturday, repealing the crime of sex with underage prostitutes, and ruling out commutation for most corrupt figures.

"The really surprising thing that we found is that amino acid intake has as much of an effect on blood pressure as established lifestyle risk factors such as salt intake, physical activity and alcohol consumption," says lead author Dr. Amy Jennings of the University of East Anglia (UEA).

A year after the final report of the National Conference convened by former President Goodluck Jonathan was submitted for implementation, there are frantic efforts being made by northern leaders to prevent President Muhammadu Buhari from touching the over 900-page document.

The decomposing body of a 33-year-old man, Gbenga Ogundana, has been discovered by Police detectives in Akure, Ondo State capital, after he reportedly committed suicide over loss of his job.

Vanguard gathered that the body was discovered in his rented apartment located at Orisunmbare Street, Cultural Centre, Akure, four days after he allegedly poisoned himself.

Vanguard was informed that neighbours of the deceased had earlier reported to his elder brother, Segun, that the whereabouts of his brother was unknown.

Leaders of the APC, who spoke to The PUNCH, complained that the appointments tilted in favour of the North and said the party must move fast to cope with the backlash of expected rumblings in the polity.

“The President does not consult before making most of these appointments and I can tell you that Nigerians are going to term the party and the President as a northern party and the President of Northern Nigeria,” a leader of the party said to one of our correspondents late on Tuesday.
