Now the victim is suing Holland America after it was determined that her attacker, Ketut Pujayasa, used a master key to enter the woman’s cabin and hide on her balcony until she returned.
During the attack, which lasted over an hour, Pujayasa beat the woman with blunt objects including a laptop, strangled her, raped her, and even attempted to throw her over the side of the vessel.

Well, working with Joe Trippi in America, I had no choice but to embrace New Media for political purposes, because Trippi was probably the first person in the world to do that on an organised and successful scale with the Dean Campaign. Previously, I had worked on the emerging online space during the Obasanjo era, particularly in the office of the then vice president, Atiku Abubakar.
You know I had to be strategic. Nigeria’s New Media environment has a lot of professional naysayers. They wait for you to come out with a message just to disagree with you. Even when you agree with them, they disagree with you. They target people with press value so that they make the headlines at your expense. These disagreements, being political in nature, sometimes cross over to the traditional media and could be a source of embarrassment for the principal. That being the case, it was considered prudent to limit exposure to the most strategic platforms where one could have as much control over one’s messaging.

Ecobank To Sell Nigerian Stake By Year End
Incorporated (ETI) has said it plans to sell part of its stake in its Nigerian entity, Ecobank Nigeria, by the end of the year even as it may end its battle against its former chief executive officer, Thierry Tanoh, through an out-of-court settlement.
According to the current chief executive of the Pan-African bank, Albert Essien, the bank may seek an agreement with Tanoh this year over damages exceeding $35 million awarded by the West African courts against his former employer.

WAEC Won’t Adopt CBT Now –Official
Examinations Council (WAEC) on Tuesday said that it would not adopt the Computer Based Test (CBT) mode fully for now, considering the variables involved in conducting its examinations.
WAEC’s Head of National Office (HNO), Dr Charles Eguridu, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos that the CBT mode being demanded by some people was not feasible for now.
NAN reports that the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) had, during its 2015 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) recently, migrated fully to the CBT mode.

The PDP national leaders called on President Muhammadu Buhari and the ruling APC to respect the constitution and the rule of law.

23 vehicles, 30 shops burnt in Lagos fire
MANY were yesterday drenched in tears as they mourned their losses in a massive midnight fire.
There were rows of shops and vehicles consumed by the fire, which occurred after a petrol tanker fell and spilled its content.
The scene of ruination was Iyana-Ipaja in Agbado Oke Odo Local Council Development Area (LCDA). No lives were lost in the incident.
Lagos State Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode arrived at the scene of the incident around 9:45 am. He commiserated with the victims of the fire and promised that the government will help the owners of the burnt homes and shops within 48 hours.

Jenny Buckleff, 58, said she "wanted to do something a little bit different" when she turned up at the alter.
And when she got married to 51-year-old Christopher Lockett she managed to do just that.
Jenny, who works for sport betting site BET365, lay in the closed coffin as she was pulled to the Llangefni registry office in Anglesey, Wales, by a motorcycle.
She wanted to make the special entrance in honour of her brother – a motorcycle enthusiast.

Pregnant Woman, 68 Others burnt to death in petrol tanker fire
Tragedy struck on Sunday evening in Onitsha as no fewer than 69 persons burnt to death when a trailer loaded with Premium Motor Spirit otherwise known as petrol, which was descending from Army barracks side of Onitsha Enugu express way lost control and rammed into the Asaba Motor Park at Upper Iwekas Onitsha and exploded.
Eleven vehicles mostly commuter buses and two motorcycles inside the Asaba Park in Onitsha, including the 40 foot tanker laden with petrol burnt beyond repairs inside the park.
