A furious fisherman has tracked down and killed the 20ft crocodile that ate his pregnant wife, Demeteriya Nabwire.

Demeteriya had gone insearch for firewood on the shores of Nawaikoke in Uganda but when she did not return after several hours, villagers began to panic.

Teacher, 23, arrested for having sex with her student, 18, just seven months after getting married to another man

A 23-year-old teacher has been arrested after being accused of having sex with her 18-year-old student only seven months after tying the knot with another man.

Jessica Bonnett Acker is believed to have been involved in a relationship with the boy while teaching at Bryant High School in Cottondale, Alabama.

The pair were both interviewed by police and warrant for Acker's arrest was issued. She turned herself into the authorities the following day.

A Professor at the University of Maiduguri(UNIMAD), Bukar Bababe, has been handed a five-year sentence by a Maiduguri High Court which found him guilty of a multiple-count charge bordering on high level fraud.

Middle-aged photographer takes nude self-portraits in abandoned buildings to show her fear of aging

For the past eight years, one adventurous photographer has been exploring her fear of aging by taking self-portraits of herself nude in derelict buildings.

Sarah R. Bloom, a Philadelphia-native, uses a tripod and a timed camera to capture herself; posing naked in old factories, shopping malls and even an abandoned mental institution.

Ms Bloom has been concerned with this element of her life for some time.

'The exploration of identity as a woman entering middle age has emerged as a persistent theme in my work,' she writes on her website.

'Akin to the stages of grief, I face the idea of aging at first with dread, then resistance, and ultimately acceptance.'

She adds: 'In my experience, these stages are non-linear.

This is the Muslim man who has been hailed a hero after he hid shoppers in the freezer of the Jewish grocery store after an Islamic gunman raided the deli where he worked.

Lassana Bathily, 24, originally from Mali in west Africa, guided terrified customers to safety in a supermarket chiller at the Hyper Cacher supermarket in Porte de Vincennes, Paris, yesterday.

Mr Bathily, who reportedly led six people to safety, told BFMTV: 'When they ran down, I opened the door [of the freezer].

'There are several people who came to me. I turned off the light, I turned off the freezer. When I turned off the cold, I put them [hostages] in, I closed the door, I told them to stay calm.'
