APC has reportedly announced Prof. Osibajo as Buhari's running mate

APC Presidential candidate, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari has chosen erudite scholar and Pastor with the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Prof. Yemi Osibajo as his running mate for next year's general election.

Professor Yemi Osinbajo is a Senior Advocate of Nigeria and Senior Partner in the Law firm of SimmonsCooper Partners. Yemi Osibanjo is a professor of law and was the head of department of Public Law at the University of Lagos (1997-1999).

The Lagos state Police command is currently investigating the murder of a leading insurance practitioner and lawyer, Mrs Ola Adeola who was found dead with her throat slit at her home in Oniru Estate, Lagos on Sunday December 14th.

A Mississippi pastor tapped into his creative side while embarking on aprotest of gay marriage by dressing up a horse to demonstrate how ridiculous he thinks it is.

The pastor, Reverend Edward James of Bertha Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, brought the horse to the federal courthouse on Friday in Jackson to protest a federal judge's ruling, currently on hold, to overturn the state's ban on gay marriage.

The Lagos State Police Command has detained two Fulani herdsmen, Mohammed Umar and Manu Hassan, for allegedly robbing motorists on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.

Our correspondent learnt that Umar and Hassan, who were herdsmen from the Ngaski area of Kebbi State, were arrested by soldiers attached to the OP MESA while they were robbing some people.

They were later handed over to the state Special Anti-Robbery Squad.

The founder of the Christ Apostolic Church, Power and Authority, Reverend Oludare Adedeji, has sent out a warning to President Goodluck Jonathan not to run for presidency in 2015.

Addressing newsmen at his church at Aba Paanu area of Ibadan, Oyo State capital, the cleric prophesied that there would be bloodshed in the country if “Jonathan forces himself on Nigerians in next year’s polls.”

FG condemns the repatriation of 30 Nigerian students from Sudan

The Federal Government on Monday declared as “erroneous and unfortunate”, the repatriation of 30 Nigerians by Sudan over suspicion of them being infected by the Ebola Virus Disease.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that the Nigerian government had already protested the ill-treatment of Nigerians by the country to the Sudanese authority and was seeking appropriate redress.
