10 Greatest Rappers of All Time

These 10 great rappers each represent the distinct fusion of voice, storytelling ability, creativity, and general influence through the microphone. Rap remains controversial as it’s often misunderstood by outsiders, mocked by the masses as a lesser art form. For his part, critic Bill O’Reilly has often blasted rap as the mouthpiece of a violent and misogynistic “street” culture.

Ironically, O’Reilly may find himself largely in agreement with rapper Notorious B.I.G., who once riffed, “The street is a short stop. Either you’re slinging crack rock, or you got a wicked jump shot.” Yes, the rap game began as a proverbial sanctuary for the inner city. Today, however, rap is blared from the loudspeakers out in rural Minnesota to the raging nightclubs of Ibiza, and everywhere in between. On the other end of the spectrum, fans of “real hip hop” have been known to blast music executives for their proclivity to put out radio-friendly hits that are rather light on lyricism and heavy on bass. A May 2014 Forbes piece praising Iggy Azalea for running hip hop did set off a firestorm of debate within many industry circles; mainstream popularity does not always translate into masterful technique as an artist.

10. GZA

Classic Albums: Enter the WuTang: 36 Chambers / Liquid Swords

Gary Grice, aka GZA, aka The Genius, has made it onto this list as the primary representative for the Wu Tang Clan. For hip-hop, The Wu is comparable to the Kennedy dynasty. The group also went on to spin off a plethora of acts and affiliates, which include Killarmy and Wu Syndicate. The Wu, of course, always felt greater than the sum of its respective parts. These charismatic New York rappers began to captivate a worldwide audience, after the 1993 release of their “Enter the Wu Tang: 36 Chambers” debut LP.

For the Wu, GZA added the best lyrical dexterity to a group that included Method Man’s Hollywood appeal, Ghostface Killah’s abstract style, Raekwon’s hustle, RZA’s production, and the late ODB’s outrageous griminess. Method Man proclaimed, “we form like Voltron and GZA is the head.” The GZA’s delivery was smooth, yet authoritative, as he often dismissed the typical rap story lines of nightclubs, provocative women, and tough-talk gun-play in favor of science and wide-ranging philosophies.

As a solo artist, Liquid Swords was the classic album that crystallized GZA’s distinctive technique. This masterpiece was devoid of skits and prominently featured the basic, dark themes of many genuine RZA productions.

9. Andre 3000

Classic Album: OutKast’s ATLiens

Andre Benjamin (aka Andre 3000), along with OutKast partner Big Boi, helped to redefine the Atlanta scene away from bass and party music and toward intricate storylines featuring a Southern drawl. For his part, Andre 3000 transformed from a skinny, young bowl-cut emcee out of Southwest Atlanta waxing poetic over a “Player’s Ball” of classic cars, cash, and women into a global celebrity and fashion-forward icon.

As a rapper, Andre 3000 has experimented with lyrics and background melodies ranging between the player lifestyle, jazz, rhythm and blues, and even rock. Between 2002 and 2004, Andre 3000, Big Boi, and OutKast took home a total of six Grammy awards: Best rap performance by a duo or group, album of the year, and best rap album for their collaborative efforts on Stankonia and Speakerboxxx / The Love Below. From here, Andre Benjamin was able to leverage his mainstream appeal to star as an actor in several TV shows and movies, which have included Be CoolIdlewildThe Shield, and the lead role in Jim [Hendrix]: All is By My Side.

As a solo artist, Andre 3000 will always be recognized for his calm and somewhat lazy vocal inflection that serve as the perfect contrast to oftentimes biting social commentary.

8. AZ

Classic Album: Doe or Die

The legacy of Anthony Cruz, or AZ, was somewhat overshadowed beneath the star power of close ally Nas. Out of Brooklyn, AZ is arguably the most underrated rapper to grace the microphone. He’s notable for his relatively high-pitched delivery and aggressive lyrics that jammed multiple rhymes into each bar. AZ built his character up as somewhat of an unwitting gangster, who embraced a life of crime largely out of necessity, instead of out of calculated malice. As such, AZ fit the ongoing Robin Hood narrative that has permeated rap.

Rap fans were first introduced to AZ as a guest artist that ripped through tracks on Nas’s 1994 Illmatic classic. He then went on to release his solo Doe or Die album, which throttled listeners with a dangerously callous outlook toward American Life.

7. Snoop Dogg

Classic Album: Doggystyle

Out of Long Beach, Calif., Snoop Dogg introduced himself to the entertainment world while trading verses and barbs with Dr. Dre on the Deep Cover movie soundtrack. From there, Snoop starred as a talented protégé, who was featured heavily throughout Dr. Dre’s classic album,Chronic. In 1993, Snoop Dogg was to debut as a solo artist with his own critically acclaimed Doggystyle LP.

 Your Reaction?

Snoop’s laid back, smooth “California cool” voice inflection delivered the perfect contrast juxtaposed to the blaring, head-banging signature Dr. Dre production. Snoop Dogg will forever be immortalized as the leader of the G-Funk Era, which fused modern hip hop with 1970s soul music. As he matured, Snoop moved on to popular music and achieved unparalleled success, receiving six Grammy award nominations between 2004 and 2013, according to IMDB.

6. Scarface

Classic Albums: The DiaryMy Homies, and Untouchables

Scarface legitimized Southern rap as the lead member of his Geto Boys group. His subject matter was typically dark yet authentic. For the past 20 years, a growling Scarface has grappled with murder, court cases, hustling, total loss, and humiliating deception throughout his storytelling career.

If anything, his brazen refusal to submit and change his art according to the whims of industry execs preserved his street cred. Scarface went on to collaborate with the likes of Nas, Tupac, UGK, Jay-Z, Ice Cube, Too Short, and Dr. Dre, who all sought the hardcore seal of approval from this Texas rapper.

5. Nas

Classic Album: Illmatic

In 1994, “Nasty” Nas exploded onto the scene with Illmatic, which may arguably go down as the greatest hip hop album of all time. At the age of 19, Nasir Jones had put out a compact, 10-song banger of fierce beats, gritty storytelling, sharp punch lines, and absolute raging fire on the microphone. From there, the young emcee was poised to battle Notorious B.I.G. and Jay-Z for the coveted King of New York crown for years to come.

Over the years Nasty Nas went through stages of evolution, turning into the relatively smooth Nas Escobar, before attempting to ride off into the sunset as a sagely and self-righteous Nastradamus and God’s Son. Competing rappers took note of Nas’s struggles with navigating commercialism, street cred, financial struggles, and a brutal divorce to entertainer Kelis. This led to some antagonism toward Nas, including some hate coming from Jay-Z, which brought Nas back into full stride. He declared himself the King of New York, and the only true remaining rival to Tupac and Biggie Smalls.

4. Jay-Z

Classic Album: Reasonable Doubt

Jay-Z emerged as that rare personality that has successfully melded street cred, popular mass appeal, swagger, and the classic Horatio Alger rags-to-riches storyline. As a rapper, Jay-Z may be most notable for his smooth delivery and authoritative voice that commands listeners to dance. In addition to Nas, rappers 50-Cent, Camron, Jim Jones, and Prodigy have resurrected their careers simply through challenging Jay-Z. For his part, in this game of tough talk, Jay-Z has already taken home an unprecedented 19 Grammy awards, according to Grammy.com.

The self-proclaimed “Michael Jordan of rap” has spit bars for the projects, the dance floor, and the haughty intellectual. A recent Forbes Celebrity 100 list claimed that Jay-Z had already earned $60 million by June 2014. These earnings were largely the result of a far-flung empire that includes sold-out concerts, 40/40 clubs, and Def Jam executive compensation.

3. Notorious B.I.G.

Classic Album: Ready to Die

Notorious B.I.G. built his legend upon the strength of freestyle battles throughout the Brooklyn borough. Of Jamaican descent, B.I.G.’s booming voice and hint of patois dominated the streets, recording studios, and dancehall clubs. B.I.G. described himself as “Heart throb never. Black, and ugly as ever.” Still, his alliance with Sean “Puff Daddy” Combs helped to create a flamboyant fat man who maintained a penchant for beautiful women, fancy clothes, fine dining, and stately mansions. Taken together, Combs and Smalls emerged as the ultimate answer to West Coast record label Death Row. The rivalry escalated with the still-unsolved shooting and robbery of Tupac Shakur in the hallways of a Midtown Manhattan recording studio, where the East Coast Bad Boy entourage was also present.

The East Coast – West Coast rivalry set off a chain of events that led to Biggie Smalls’s murder in 1997, when he was gunned down outside of an L.A. nightclub. Many industry insiders have speculated that this hit was in retaliation for the 1994 murder of Tupac Shakur.

2. Tupac Shakur

Classic Album: All Eyez on Me

Tupac and his Me Against the World mentality often bordered upon sheer lunacy. He made open calls to violence against East Coast rappers, disloyal acquaintances, corrupt politicians, and even scandalous women. In contrast to his tough talk, however, were happy-go-lucky dance mixes, love poetry, spiritual leadership, and an ode to “Dear Mamma.”

As a self-proclaimed “boss-player,” Tupac was arguably the most complex persona to ever approach the microphone. Was Pac the kindred soul sabotaged by the fast living of stardom — or was he a true egomaniacal monster who leveraged his celebrity platform to toss breadcrumbs at the little people? We can only speculate that Tupac was somewhat of a chameleon who transitioned through various roles according to his particular audience.

1. Rakim

Classic Album: Paid in Full

Rakim is the father of modern day rap. A beaming Ghostface Killah of Wu Tang Clan once proclaimed, “Rakim is the only god. He taught me how to rock this.” Rakim’s calm delivery effortlessly carries listeners through his own personal journey of triumph, money making, and the fallibility of mankind. The intense cutting, production, and scratching skills of partner Eric B. served as the perfect contrast to Rakim’s graceful wordplay.

As a rather precocious youth, Rakim’s subject matter was steeped with high-minded braggadocio, existential philosophies, and spirituality. To this day, Eric B. and Rakim’s Paid in Full and 1988 follow-up album Follow the Leader are still considered masterpieces. It was then that a young Eric B. and Rakim first began to combine jazz syncopation with verbal artistry, inspiring future rappers’ musical aesthetics.

Madrid (AFP) - Real Madrid reserve team coach Zinedine Zidane has drafted his 19-year-old son Enzo into the side for a league match on Sunday, the club have announced.

An attacking midfielder already called up by the French under-19s, Zidane junior has until now been playing with Real Madrid's third team.

But on Sunday fans will be licking their lips to see if the old man gives his eldest son a run out for the second team, known as Castilla, against UB Conquense of Cuenca in Spain's third tier.

Zidane has four sons and Enzo, the eldest of them, has been on the books with the Madrid giants since 2004, while Luca (16), Theo (12) and Elyaz (8) are also on the books at Real.

Zidane senior, now 42, joined Real Madrid as a player in 2001 for a then record fee of around 75 million euros ($93m).

He had an immediate impact, scoring a wonder goal that delivered the 2002 Champions League in a 2-1 final win over Bayer Leverkusen.

He was appointed coach of Castilla in the summer but was last month banned for three months for not having the necessary qualifications to coach in Spain, only to be allowed to continue while he appeals the decision.

KILLERS OF NOLLYWOOD ACTOR, CLEM ONYEKA, PARADED IN ASABA

On October 4, the Nigerian entertainment industry was thrown into darkness when an actor, Clem Onyeka, father of three boys, was brutally killed by stray bullets. Clem died from a gunshot fired when some alleged armed robbers engaged the police in a gun battle over an attempt by the alleged criminals to rob a bullion van in Asaba, Delta State.
The latest news coming from Delta State may sooth some people, who have urged the police to bring the culprits to book. Weeks after the unfortunate incident, the Delta State Police Command has paraded over 15 armed robbery and kidnap suspects.
Among those in custody of the police is the robbery gang that attacked the bullion van on DBS Road, Asaba, which allegedly caused the death of popular Nollywood actor.
At a month-end press conference at the Police Headquarters in Asaba, the new Commissioner of Police, Alkali Baba Usman, reflected on some of the successes recorded in the month under review.
The Dragon team, which made the arrests, recovered two AK 47 rifle magazines containing 56 rounds of 7.62mm live ammunition from them.
Also arrested were alleged car snatchers, Okiemute and Onyemone Egiliga. They were reportedly car with the Toyota Hiace bus with registration number Delta KLK 16 XA they snatched at Bright Hope Street, Airport Road, Warri.

A cargo plane carrying the remains of 74 South Africans killed in a building collapse in Nigeria landed in Pretoria on Sunday, two months after the accident.
The remains of another nine South Africans among the 116 people killed on September 12 when a multi-storey guesthouse collapsed at a Lagos mega-church will be repatriated after the DNA identification process is complete.
The chartered Antonov plane laden with four mortuary vans landed at the Waterkloof air force base shortly before 10:00 am (0800 GMT) in an event carried live by public broadcaster SABC.
Deputy President Cyril Ramaphosa was to preside over the official ceremony to receive the bodies later in the day.
Nigeria released the bodies on Saturday after a high-level government delegation led by Jeff Radebe, a minister in the presidency, spent a week in Nigeria to fast-track the repatriation process.
President Jacob Zuma of South Africa
President Jacob Zuma of South Africa
Radebe had met President Goodluck Jonathan in Abuja to discuss the speedy repatriation of the remains.
The head of the mega-church and one of Nigeria’s most popular preachers, TB Joshua, suggested that a low-flying aircraft reportedly seen over the building four times before it came down was to blame for the collapse, and said he had been targeted in a deliberate attack.
But expert witnesses at a coroner’s hearing ruled out aerial sabotage or an explosion.
The court was told that the guesthouse did not have planning permission.

WHY I DON’T TAKE MY WIFE TO EVENTS—RAMSEY NOUAH EXPLAINS

    '

He is unarguably considered the best and the most handsome actor in Nollywood. Lots of ladies would give up everything to have a nice timeout with Nollywood’s ‘Lover Boy’, Ramsey Nouah.

    Nigeriafilms.com had a one-on-one interview with this cute dude, where he discussed several issues; from politics, his family life, future plans, regrets and lots more. Excerpts;

You are hardly seen in movies except for few, what has been happening to you?

Nothing! I am just making changes, what kind of movies are you talking about anyways?

It seems you are selective of movies, what do you look out for in movies?

Well, yes I am. I look out for good movies, good storylines, the ones I can interpret to my best capability. Good technical also. We are trying to upgrade the industry as best as we can, set up everything that has cinema culture. We want people to come to the cinema and watch movies and not just the ones on VCD, you just watch it once and then it’s all gone. You know, probably a movie that will last like forever; like evergreen movies.

Comparing the industry then and now what do you see?

When we started, the industry was really doing well, and then there was a nosedive that affected the industry but then, it’s gradually growing with the intervention of the government; helping to put structures and everything in place. And of course, the fact that we didn't know that Nollywood was going to be a like a huge contributor to the economy of Nigerian, and it is. We are very happy about that, the government is really helping to bring it back up.

What else do you do apart from acting?

Basically nothing, humanitarian stuffs, that's it.

What kind of humanitarian stuffs are you talking about?

    Giving to the needy.

Now that you are hardly seen in movies, family is now coming in place right?

It is good to be at home with your family, everybody feels good to be home and want to spend time with your family. I love the fact that I am now spending quality time with them.

A lot of your colleagues have veered into politics what's your take on that?

I think they are looking out for changes, movie as you can tell, talks about the ills in the society, talks about problems that we find down the street; matrimonial problems either health problems, cancer, abandoned children. All these things we find in our society that we talk about in our movies. And some of our artistes are beginning to see that they can actually be a servant of the people to help rectify those things because they know their pain, so they are thinking we can go there and help and try and make a change that's why they are doing it.

How about you, what are your chances?

My fans haven't told me to do it yet, but if they tell me yes I will.

Your fans determine what you do next?

Oh yes, my fans put the food on my table.

Tell us about the movie, ’30 Days in Atlanta?

It is a romantic comedy, actually shot part in Nigeria and part in Atlanta United States of America. AY played Akpos and I played his cousin.

How was it like acting alongside AY, the comedian or are you gradually becoming a comic actor too?

Well, the movie is a romantic comedy, and not just that it was fun for everybody.

What is your take on marriages of celebs that crash?

There is nothing I can say to them, I am a celebrity myself. Whatever I say compromises my judgement. I can't tell celebrity how to hold on to their marriage, nobody can actually tell you how to hold on to your marriage. It is between the lovers; the man and the woman. It is either they are compatible or not. Most times, I would say to about 60 to 70 percent of the time showbiz actually is one of the reason why marriages crumble. So, I can't tell them what they already know. Some people put extra effort and it just doesn't work. In other words you realize that you've not found a compatible partner that's why it’s so.

You are lover boy in movies, are you romantic in life?

Well, that's left for my wife to decide, I don't know if she thinks I am romantic.

If you have a chance, what can you change about yourself?

I honestly don't know. I think God created me well and I am happy about it.

Aside the Ramsey people see on TV, who is the real you?

I am a very simple and easy going fellow; simplicity in sophistication that's how I live my life.

How do you balance marriage and career?

I have a very beautiful wife who understands me and understands my profession. We both have an understanding of how to actually deal with things; the showbiz life, with people who go around destroying your family rather than helping it. So, we are compatible like that. That is why we have that good union.

Your wife is hardly seen at events, why is that so?

It is part of the reason, that is how we actually balance the equation, we try not to be all up in everybody face, everybody now knows my family and they can say this about her and about me that's the beautiful way to actually keep it. We are 14-years in marriage and we are still going and I love that.

How do you handle female fans?

That happens, it is my profession so I got to live with it.

Have you been embarrassed by them because you rarely appear at events and whenever you are out, they are all over you?

It is not embarrassing, it comes with the profession.

So you are happy with the way they come out to you?

I have to live with it, I don't know about been happy but I just have to live with it.

What are those things being a celebrity have deprived you of?

My private life; I can't go out somewhere and be happy without people taking pictures. I can't go out with my family to public outing without people taking pictures; not having private moments with my family. So I only have private moment with my family in private places. I can't go to public places because of that and that is one thing I really missed.

What is going to happen in the next couple of years that we don't know about?

I hope to delve into filmmaking and more humanitarian stuff.

You keep mentioning humanitarian stuff, is it like an NGO?

NGO in general, not really specialised in any aspect, for instance, Ebola has serious need. What help are we rendering? Do I need to create an NGO for it? No, just have an open NGO for humanitarian jobs in general.

You made mention of going into film making soon, what took you so long?

Being a veteran doesn't mean like being a kick-off, you wait for the right time and I am waiting for the right time to actually do my stuff and that is why it is taking so long. But in due time, you will see.

Are you happy with your status from when you started and now?

I'm happy to see how far the industry has come and to see that I am part of it from the beginning till now, I am very happy about it. When we started the industry, it was like making bread out of stone, we had nothing, we had no support, we were just people who were passion driven about the work of art and we started it and we have come that far. I am happy.

Your message to those looking up to you?

All I can say is that you just keep the faith, have faith as little as a mustard seed, you will achieve your set goals in life.

Nigerian women to get injectable contraceptives

Nigerian women and others in 68 countries will now be able to have access to injectable contraceptives.

The pharmaceutical company, Pfizer Incorporated, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and the Children Investment Fund Foundation, on Thursday announced an agreement to expand access to the contraceptives called Sayana Press.

In Nigeria and many other developing countries, more than 200 million women want to delay pregnancy or prevent undesired pregnancy but are not using any method of contraception, the statement noted.

Sayana is approved by regulatory authorities in Nigeria, Bangladesh, Burkina Faso, Kenya, Niger, Nigeria, Senegal, Uganda, as well as additional markets in Latin America, the European Union and within the Asia Pacific region.

The injectable contraceptive is made available for women through the collaboration of organisations from the public and private sectors.

The product will be sold for $1(N172.00) per dose to qualified purchasers, who can enable the poorest women in these countries to have access to the contraceptive at reduced or no cost.

“Sayana Press combines a long-acting, reversible, contraceptive with an all-in-one prefilled, single-use, non-reusable Uniject injection system that eliminates the need to prepare a needle and syringe. The use of this delivery system allows the contraceptive to be administered by health workers to women at home or in other convenient settings.

“The training required is basic and straightforward. The contraceptive is indicated for the prevention of pregnancy. Each subcutaneous injection prevents ovulation and provides contraception for at least 13 weeks,” Pfizer said in a statement made available online.

According to the statement, the new contraceptive will broaden access to family planning.

The President of Pfizer Global Established Pharma Business, John Young said, “Pfizer saw an opportunity to address the needs of women living in hard-to-reach areas, and specifically enhanced the product’s technology with public health in mind.

“I’m so pleased with the leadership from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, the Children’s Investment Fund Foundation and other collaborating organisations that are helping create a sustainable market through an approach that could be a model for other medicines.”

At each of the 69 countries, Pfizer and its partners will work with local governments with the goal of including injectable contraceptive methods in reproductive health plans and budgets, coordinate health worker trainings, and raise awareness about the availability of the contraceptive.

“Far too many women die or are harmed because of unwanted pregnancies. This important partnership expands the choice of affordable contraceptives. We believe this will further support CIFF’s mission of enabling more women and children to survive and thrive,” the Chief Executive Officer of CIFF, Michael Anderson said.

    #THE PUNCH

I am not super human, says Pastor Adeboye

CONTRARY to popular opinion that influential ministers of God are superhuman and immune from challenges which mere mortals face, the General Overseer of The Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye recently shocked members when he declared that he was susceptible to fear, including other human weaknesses.

Ministering at the November monthly Holy Ghost Service with the theme: ‘Great Expectations’, Daddy G.O., as he is fondly called by members and non-members, at the Redemption Church revealed to the mammoth crowd how he was gripped with the fear of death during one of his numerous ecclesiastical trips outside the country.

Known for using personal experiences to illustrate his sermons despite series of criticisms from such personal testimonies, Pastor Adeboye recalled how he was gripped with fear and close to death during one of his trips with the then Nigeria Airways.

In his words: “Contrary to what many of you may think I am human and I have my fears too. There were times I have had cause to fear and doubt because I am human but God always ended up disappointing my fears and doubts.

    Pastor Enoch Adeboye, G.O, RCCG

    Pastor Enoch Adeboye, G.O, RCCG

“In one of my trips with the then Nigeria Airways, the pilot had announced, when we were already airborne, that there were indications that the plane would crash-land. Immediately the pilot made the announcement, I was afraid and as if that was not enough, he said there were expert fire fighters who would put out the fire when the plane crashes.”

Continuing, Pastor Adeboye said: “Immediately I embarked on a quick run through my life just to be sure I was ready to meet my Maker. I also told God that I never knew this was how I would end my race. I was really afraid,” noting that there are some things that will happen to people that will make them to be really afraid, anointing or no anointing.

Laughing over the situation which has become a testimony, Adeboye said the fear of death temporarily took over him and other passengers until God assured him that he was not going to die and that the situation occurred so that God can communicate with him.

“When God gave me that assurance that we will not die that He only wanted to have a conversation with me, I felt relaxed and as God would have it, the Lord took charge of the plane and we landed safely,” he narrated.

In another related account, Pastor Adeboye explained that because of his previous experience which God took control of, he was not disturbed.

“In another of my travels, the pilot had announced that there would be a lot of storm at the arrival terminal going by the weather report. The implication is that there will be trouble while landing.

“When I heard that announcement I knew God was in charge. I took the little meal they served because I ride in economy; but the man that sat beside me could not eat. I asked why he was not eating and he replied: ‘so you understand English; don’t you hear what the pilot just said that there will be a lot of storm at landing because of the bad weather.’

“I said I heard.” He was confused thinking what kind of human being is this? But he insisted he was not going to eat. So I offered to help with his food since I was still hungry and he freely gave me the food.

“I ate the food and slept off. God took charge. By the time we were about to land, the pilot announced to us that the weather forecast was wrong. We got down safely. I looked at the face of the man sitting beside me and he looked at my face and laughed. But then the Lord told me that the weather forecast was not wrong that He was the one who diverted the storm”.

Linking another personal story with that of Abraham and his wife, Sarah, Adeboye explained that there were many instances where he had doubted God “but some times God looks beyond our faith to bless us and do His wonders in our lives because of His mercy.”

Adeboye maintained that Abraham, described as father of faith, doubted God when he fell on his face after God had told him his children would be as the stars; Sarah laughed when the Lord told her she would have a son but God still went ahead to bless her.

Stressing that as individuals, we have our moments of doubts and worry, he said “God will still do what He would do. The leper that came to Jesus was healed even when his faith was not strong enough to receive his healing. The Shunammite woman told Elisha not to deceive her when Elisha gave a prophecy she would have a child. But the Lord still went ahead to give her the child. At a point, John the Baptist doubted if Jesus was the messiah or not.”

The man of God recalled an incident long ago when a woman came to the church’s maternity in Ilorin to deliver and said she had made a covenant to die on the day of her delivery.

“I was invited to the scene and wondered why the woman who was about to put to bed would decide to die in our maternity. So I prayed for her and came to Lagos. A day after the woman brought forth a baby and the midwives observed there was another baby inside her who was not coming forth. And this woman refused to be taken to the hospital. Some brethren came to Lagos to report the incidence and wanted my intervention and prayers.”

Adeboye said when the brothers came he had to put up a bold face and reprimanded them for traveling all the way from Ilorin to Lagos because of the issue. He said he prayed with them that the woman would have delivered before they got to Ilorin.

According to him; “When the brothers left, I went to my room and locked the door and prostrated before God, crying to Him to intervene in the matter. God answered me and said but I just dismissed those people and assured them that the woman would be delivered her baby before they get back to Ilorin. Why do you still doubt the prayers you said earlier?

“The Lord rebuked me. I tried to excuse myself and said I just had to dismiss them so I could really settle the matter with you, Lord. The Lord asked me to go and eat. I replied, Lord I have been fasting but He said go and eat. Till today I did not know if the food passed through my mouth or nose.

“But the truth is that God still went ahead and answered the prayers even when I was in doubt of the prayers I had prayed. The woman was delivered of the second child in her womb and two more babies making four babies from her,” Pastor Adeboye emphasized.

Three ain't a crowd! Married couple SHARE the same lover

    The threesome enjoy regular threesomes

Erik Fridland, 35, fell in love with Hampus Engstrom after both of them started working as taxi drivers in Stroemsund, Sweden.

But when he confessed his affair to wife Linda, 34, she decided that she wanted to meet Hampus if she was going to accept him.

However, curiosity soon turned to lust and 29-year-old Hampus confessed that he was attracted to Linda as well as Erik – and she felt the same.

Before long, all three started having lusty threesomes and now they are living as a family.

Hampus said: "I felt comfortable with both of them right from the start when we had dinner together.

"I like them both and we had a lot in common.

"It was uncomfortable at first before all the feelings were out on the table, but after that it was fantastic.

"I didn't think it was possible to love more than one person at a time before this."

    “”

Now they all live in the same house with Hampus' five-year-old daughter and Erik and Linda's twin boys and teenage son.

Hampus added: "We work together and we live together.

"I sleep in the same bed as Linda and Erik. We all have sex together".

He added: "We have children, a house, a car and jobs.

"It is not all about sex, we do all the mundane things too."

He said that he knows of "several other polyfamilies" living together in Sweden and elsewhere in Europe thanks to a strong Facebook community and thinks that the phenomenon is becoming more common.

He added: "I hope we will eventually be able to get married and that hotel staff won't find it so strange if three of us want to book a room and share a bed together."

GEORGE W. BUSH: This Is Why I Refuse To Criticize Obama

AP/Charles Dharapak President Barack Obama, left, with former President George W. Bush at the dedication of the George W. Bush presidential library.

Former President George W. Bush has a simple explanation for why he almost never criticizes his successor: He feels it undermines the office of the presidency.

In an interview that aired Thursday night on Fox News' "Hannity," Bush insisted he would not attack President Barack Obama even though he continued to have strong opinions about national politics.

"I don't think it's good for the country to have a former president undermine a current president; I think it's bad for the presidency for that matter," Bush said, according to video posted by Mediaite.

Bush, who is promoting his book about his father (former President George H.W. Bush), "41: A Portrait of My Father," also said he had no interest in generating headlines for himself after serving in the country's highest office for eight years.

"Secondly, I really have had all the fame I want," he added. "I really don't long for publicity. And the truth the matter is in order for me to generate publicity ... I'd have to either attack the Republican Party, which I don't want to do, or attack the president, which I don't want to do. And so I'm perfectly content to be out of the limelight."

Though Bush has avoided criticizing the Obama administration, the same can't be said for his former vice president, Dick Cheney, who has repeatedly skewered Obama. Among other things, Cheney called Obama the "worst president of my lifetime."

How my uncle impregnated me after raping me for 4 Years -16 year old househelp (Photos)

16 year Gloria, a year one senior secondary school student, lives with her married brother gave birth to a baby in September 30, 2014.
With threats, pleading and persuasion, Gloria’s brother, Obi, tried to get the truth about who was responsible out of Gloria, but the little girl was too afraid to tell the truth.
According to Saturday Punch ,a neighbour, who had been friends with the family for some years, eventually got the girl to tell the truth, which shocked the girl’s brother.

When Gloria’s brother brought her to Lagos seven years ago from their village in Abakaliki, Ebonyi State, it was to give her a semblance of a better life, different from the pathetic one she was said to be living in. Their mother had just died at the time, while their aged father back in the village was not doing too well financially.
“She was living with me along with some of my friends at the time. Things were still rough for me and I was single.” Obi said.
Not long after this, Obi’s good friend from Anambra State, a trader living in Mangoro area of Lagos named Ugochukwu Okparanta, said he would take over the care of the girl to ease the financial burden off his friend while the girl would help his wife with house chores.

“I was nine when I started living with Uncle (Okparanta). But two years after I got there, he started raping me,” Gloria began. “He started one day when I was washing plates and he started to touch me in the private part and breast.”
The girl became tearful. Her voice shook and trailed off. But our correspondent assured her that she was not going to be in trouble of any kind by telling her story. Then she continued.
“He started by petting me, telling me I would like it. I refused and became afraid. Then he threatened me. He would tell me that I would be in trouble if I did not do what he wanted,” Gloria said.
Asked why she could not report the problem to her brother, the girl said she thought nobody would believe her.
“If I told Madam (Okparanta’s wife), she would say I lied against her husband,”
Gloria explained. Then came one night, while her boss’ wife slept in the couple’s room, Okparanta sneaked out to the room Gloria shared with his own daughter, an older girl.
    She said,
“He told me to follow him to the sitting room. I obeyed. He raped me and while he did it, I was about to scream, but he covered my mouth with his hand very tightly. I was bleeding when he finished and I became more scared but he smiled and said the blood was normal.
“After that, he would rape me almost every night. Madam did not know anything. Anytime I refused, Uncle would threaten to deal with me. There was a day I refused and when I greeted him the following day, he did not answer me.
“He reported me to his wife that I had become pompous in his house and that I no longer greeted him.”
This sexual abuse would continue for four years, according to the girl, until 2013 when his brother got married and brought her back to help around the house. However, in January 2014, the sexual abuse the girl had kept secret and thought was over would come back to haunt her.
“His wife had just had a miscarriage and I was sent to go and help her for a few days. But in the afternoon, when his children had gone to school, he dragged me to his children’s room and raped me,” Gloria said.
Few days before that day, our correspondent learnt that Gloria’s brother had even gone to his ‘magnanimous’ friend, bearing a bottle of wine, to thank him for taking care of his sister over the years.
“I did not know in my wildest dream that the man I see as my friend would do such a terrible thing to my sister,” he said.
Nobody knew what damage had been done until September 2014 when the symptoms of pregnancystarted to manifest in the girl’s body.
“She is one of those people who could be pregnant and her flat tummy would not make anyone suspicious. I thought that if she was pregnant, it would be in early stages and could be aborted. I had no idea that she would deliver in a few days,” the neighbour told our correspondent.
The day Gloria gave birth, the girl who knew nothing about motherhood was in labour for hours in her room and thought she was having a stomach ache. She only screamed when her water broke, it was learnt. But she had a crisis-free delivery and gave birth to a healthy baby boy.
“I have never had sex with any other boy before. I can swear on my life,”
When Gloria’s angry brother and other relations confronted Okparanta with the rape allegation, he denied initially.
“He later admitted that he slept with her only once,” Obi said
When Saturday PUNCH spoke with Okparanta on the phone, he initially went from feigning ignorance to outright denial. But when he was asked why he sent a cheque of N50,000, to the girl’s brother, he hesitated a little and admitted he raped the girl once.
“It is a lie that I started sleeping with her since she was 11. Even last year, I did not sleep with her,” Yes, I gave her brother a cheque because they were accusing me that I was responsible,” “I only slept with her once in January and she was not a virgin at the time. That was the last time I did it. I was not the first person to sleep with her. I am not the one that deflowered her.I was sleeping in the sitting room at the time. I just felt someone touching me. I just did not know how I slept with her after that. I hated her since then.”“I did not know what came over me that made me sleep with her. I told his brother after the incident that he should take her to a church for deliverance.”
But did he think he could be responsible since he has admitted sleeping with the girl?He said,
No, I did not. I just hated the girl and felt she should not have made me to do such a bad thing. I am currently discussing with the family to see how we can take care of the baby if indeed I am responsible.”

Italy rescues 900 as migrant flow across Med continues

Italian authorities said Saturday that more than 900 people had been rescued at sea in 24 hours, in a blow to hopes that the approach of winter would stem the flow of migrants attempting perilous crossings of the Mediterranean.

Most of the rescued people were initially aboard boats which had got into distress in open waters in the channel between Libya and Sicily, a narrow but treacherous strait in which thousands have drowned in recent years while trying to reach Europe.

A total of 477 migrants were delivered to Porto Empedocle on Sicily’s southern coast after being picked up by a liquid gas tanker, the Gaz Concord, overnight, and a further 354 were due to be brought ashore by an Italian navy patrol boat at nearby Pozzallo later in the day.

The coastguard also intercepted a yacht with 80 would-be migrants on board off the port of Crotone on the southeastern “heel” of the Italian mainland.

The overcrowded leisure vessel had spent six days sailing from Turkey, was travelling under a fake Italian ensign and had children on board, four of whom were hospitalised after disembarking.

Police arrested the skipper on suspicion of people smuggling.

The interception of the yacht follows the November 3 sinking in the Black Sea of an overcrowded leisure cruiser that had left Turkey bound for Romania.

At least 24 of the 43 people on board that 13-person boat died, adding to the total of more than 3,300 people who have, according to refugee bodies, died this year in bids to reach Europe’s southern shores.
