BREAKING: Burkina Faso’s Compaore resigns after violent protests

Burkina Faso’s President Blaise Compaore, one of Africa’s longest-serving autocrats, has resigned, forced out of power by a popular revolt over his attempt to extend his 27-year rule by additional five years.

Mr. Compaore is no longer in power, the army confirmed Friday, a day after protesters set fire on the parliament, marched on the presidential villa and at least three people died.
Mr. Compaore had earlier said he would step down after a 12-month transitional government had ended.
However, the opposition continued to demand that he resign, angry at his attempts to amend the constitution and extend his rule.
The army imposed curfew Thursday and announced a transitional government that will last one year, but refused to state clearly who will lead the government.

The head of the armed forces, General Honore Traore, had earlier dissolved parliament and announced talks with all political parties.
Hundreds of soldiers in Burkina Faso on Thursday joined demonstrators opposing plans to extend Mr. Compaore’s nearly three-decade rule, Radio France Internationale reported.

Ebola Crisis Raises Fresh Suspicion of Russia's Secret Labs

This article by Washington Post details earlier Ebola outbreaks and how Russia planned to use the virus as a bio-warfare weapon. As the 2014 Ebola outbreak ravages Africa and some parts of the West, new questions are being asked: did Russia really stop their little experiments?

She was an ordinary lab technician with an uncommonly dangerous assignment: drawing blood from Ebola-infected animals in a secret military laboratory. When she cut herself at work one day, she decided to keep quiet, fearing she’d be in trouble. Then the illness struck.

“By the time she turned to a doctor for help, it was too late,” one of her overseers, a former bioweapons scientist, said of the accident years afterward. The woman died quickly and was buried, according to one account, in a “sack filled with calcium hypochlorite,” or powdered bleach.

The 1996 incident might have been forgotten except for the pathogen involved — a highly lethal strain of Ebola virus — and where the incident occurred: inside a restricted Russian military lab that was once part of the Soviet Union’s biological weapons program. Years ago, the same facility in the Moscow suburb of Sergiev Posad cultivated microbes for use as tools of war. Today, much of what goes on in the lab remains unknown.

Battle Line Drawn Between Bob-Manuel, Tony One Week

Battle Line Drawn Between Bob-Manuel, Tony One Week

A battle line seems to have been drawn between Bob-Manuel Udokwu and Tony Muonagor, popularly called Tony One week. The two stars have indicated interests to contest the Idemili North constituency seat in the 2015 Anambra State House of Assembly election.

According to Udokwu, “Tony One Week is actually in the seat that I am vying for; he is from the same Idemili North constituency. He is there as an incumbent under the All Progressives Congress (APC), while I am contesting under the platform of All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA).”

The actor, who is eyeing the seat currently occupied by Tony One Week, added that he decided to launch his political career from the state level in order to have a feel of the grassroots politics. “I didn't want to jump to the federal level and vie for the House of Representatives seat because I always believe in humble beginnings.

“I would have vied for the local government chairman’s seat, but that election was held last year and I wasn't prepared for it. But I know that my modest beginning in political landscape will be from the State House of Assembly and I want to be part of decision-making in my state,” he stated.

Udokwu further explained that his intention was to ensure that his children and other citizens enjoy the benefits of democracy through his contributions.

Idemili North constituency comprises 10 towns, including Ogidi, Udokwu’s community and hometown of the late literally icon, Chinua Achebe.

At next year’s election, if Udokwu and Tony One Week eventually get their party tickets, it would be a fight between the two popular entertainers in Nigeria, who have come a long way in the showbiz world.

Chinedu Ubachukwu wins Gulder Ultimate Search

Twenty-four-year-old Chinedu Ubachukwu has emerged winner of the 11th season of Gulder Ultimate Search (GUS), which ended last night.
Ubachukwu and 13 others were in the Aguleri jungle in Anambra State for 26 days, for the adventure reality show which aired on digital and terrestrial television channels.

A graduate of Petroleum and Gas Engineering from the University of Port Harcourt, Ubachukwu, who hails from Anambra State, edged out co-finalists, Emmanuel Afolabi and Nne Cosy Joe, to discover the mythical General’s Helmet, a symbol of this year’s search aptly tagged The Mission.

As promised by Nigerian Breweries Plc., organisers of the show, Ubachukwu, by his feat, automatically qualified for the grand prize of N10 million and a brand new Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV).

No doubt, it was a grueling 26 days for all the contestants, who will each get a prize according to how they were evicted from the show.
Perhaps the winner’s familiarity with the topography of Anambra North local government area was an added advantage for his victory. It is not clear what part of the state he hails from, but Ubachukwu had said, in a previous interview, that his place is not far from Aguleri, giving the reason he should win the contest.

“My expectation is very high. I’m from Anambra and my village is actually a few distance away from Aguleri. So, I just have to win this one or else I don’t know if I will be able to go home for Christmas, if I don’t win it,” he had said.

When asked what his strategy would be, Ubachukwu, who appeared the ‘weakest’ of all 14 contestants, said he had no specific strategy: “No strategy yet until I get to the jungle. But having spent a little time with my fellow contestants, I can say I stand a good chance. I will just give my best in my tasks.”

Perhaps the ‘good chance’ being referred to by the young man had little to do with physical capabilities, because when the contestants commenced their journey from Boat Landing, where they had camped the previous night, Ubachukwu,  it will be recalled, stated that he was not 100 percent fit.  He added that if the final search for the helmet became a purely physical task, it might be to his disadvantage.
At some point in the show, Ubachukwu was the last to climb over a very high wall, and the remaining contestants, feeling pity for him, insisted that he should be the first to cross another rope ladder, which was suspended between two trees because he appeared weak.

But in the last lap of the ‘search’, Ubachukwu seemed to have regained more strength. As shown on television last night, he and the other two raced towards three canoes and paddled away in different directions. Emmanuel and Cosy Joe appeared to paddle their canoes aimlessly, while Ubachukwu paddled towards a particular direction. It turned out that he rowed his canoe towards a clay pot that was emitting fire.
At that point, Cosy Joe appeared frustrated and angrily hit the water with his bare hands. He had no paddle. As Cosy paddled his boat to shore and alighted on land, Emmanuel attempted to row his canoe in Ubachukwu’s direction, but the latter was already far ahead. Ubachukwu raced on land and retrieved the great General’s Helmet, which was surrounded by three fire pots.

Consequently, he has joined the Order of Heroes as the 11th winner of GUS, Nigeria’s longest running reality TV show.

Ubachukwu, the third child and second boy in a family of five children, revealed that he had attempted to be on the show previously to no avail. “This year is my second time; I tried last year, but could not make it. I’m so happy and feel so fortunate to have made the last 14 this year.”

He said he was motivated to apply for the show because “GUS is the first realities show I grew up watching and I have always admired the participants and always imagined myself in the jungle. So, it was natural for me to give it a try now that I’v come of age.

Upon Ubachukwu’s discovery of the General’s helmet, Chidi Mokeme, the anchor of the show, congratulated him, saying: “After 26 murderous days in the Aguleri jungle, after days and nights of pain and sorrow, thinking about the unknown, nursing your wounds with sweats and blood, it is you Chinedu who made it here. It is you who has carved your name in history. It is you who has earned the bragging rights; it is you who has made it into the elite league of extraordinary warriors. By the powers conferred on me by the Council of Elders, I now pronounce you Last Man Standing.”

Two other contestants will also receive brand new vehicles. They are Samantha Appi, who will get a brand new Ford Eco sport for emerging the last woman standing and a Ford Focus car for whoever becomes winner of the viewers’ choice.

The contestants who were evicted earlier in the show are Otto Canon, Ikenna Emedike, Addoh Evi, Iroh Noella, Blessing Eriata, Loretta Erijakpor, Sandra Nwagbagiro, Samantha Appi, Sharon Robinson, Joshua Nwagboso and Iwuoha Ikenna.
The prize presentation ceremony will be presided over by Governor Willie Obiano at the Women Development Centre, Awka, on Saturday.

Congo national team coach, Claude Le Roy is confident that they will defeat Nigeria and qualify for the 2015 African Nations Cup tournament.

Nigeria will travel to Brazaville next month for the all important clash against the Congolese, which could make or mar their qualification hopes.

Jennifer Lopez: I felt 'abused' in past relationships

In a new memoir, Jennifer Lopez opens up about her 2011 split from Marc Anthony, and also reveals she's felt abused in past relationships.

The newest issue of People magazine features an excerpt from her upcoming book, "True Love" -- out Nov. 4 --, which details the moment in 2011 when the singer says she realized she needed to divorce Anthony.

Lopez recalls feeling increasingly pressured to appear to have a perfect relationship, ultimately suffering a panic attack during a photo shoot in Los Angeles. That was when she decided to end things with Anthony after seven years of marriage. The couple wed in June 2004.

"As I sat there getting made up, my heart was beating out of my chest and I felt like I couldn't breathe... I became consumed with anxiety," the "American Idol" judge writes.

Her mother and long-time manager, Benny Medina, were with her during the dramatic experience, which J. Lo describes as, "one of those moments when you're so scared you can't even scream.”

Lopez, 45, adds that mid-panic attack she looked at Benny and her mother and exclaimed, "I don't think I can be with Marc anymore," before bursting into tears.

The couple, who are parents to 6-year-old twins Max and Esme, announced their divorce one month later.

Lopez also reveals feeling emotionally abused in past relationships, though she never says in the book who the abuser was.

"I've never gotten a black eye or a busted lip, but I've felt abused in one way or another: mentally, emotionally, verbally," she writes. "I know what it feels like for your soul to be diminished by the way your loved one is treating you."

Jennifer is currently shooting the newest season of "American Idol," set to premiere on Jan. 14, 2015.

60-Year-Old Security Man Rapes 3-Year-Old And Records It On Phone

Wicked Soul
60-Year-Old Security Man Rapes 3-Year-Old And Records It On Phone

A 60-year-old security guard has entered into hot waters for raping a 3-year-old girl.

This 60-year-old security guard raped and defiled a 3-year-old girl
For allegedly raping a 3-year-old daughter of his employer and recording the indecent act on his phone, a 60-year-old security guard in Abuja, is currently cooling his randy heels in the police cell.

The grand father whose name was given as Zubeiru, is telling the police why he undertook such a venture and having a record of his shameful deed for keeps.

On how he was arrested, the police informed that two weeks after the act, some housemaids who work in the same home where the man guards, borrowed Zubeiru’s mobile phone to listen to music and watch movies. After playing music, the ladies watched the video recordings on the phone and stumbled on the sordid clip.

The shocked ladies waited until the following morning to bring the video of the assault to the attention of their boss and mother of the little girl.

The surprised parents of the child quietly invited the police who later arrested the culprit.

At the station, the accused was confronted with the video of the assault. On watching the disgusting act on the mobile phone, the police asked the security man why he engaged in such shameful act which he denied.

In order to get the facts of the matter and reconcile the doubts, the police ordered for a medical examination on the little girl to confirm their doubts, which later showed signs of the abuse on her.

They also carried out other medical tests on her to be sure there is no damage to her system.

After obtaining the initial report, the police again interviewed the suspect who still maintained that he never engaged in the act. Because Zubeiru could not admit committing the offence, police detained him pending when the other medical examination results are out.

The mother of the girl who said she has been devastated by the incident, said her daughter had two weeks ago, complained of pains on her genital.

According to the woman:

I really cannot believe that this old man can do this kind of thing to my child because he works as our security man. I really do not like his attitude as a person because of the way he behaves. He sometimes acts like one that is mentally unstable and on several occasions, I had warned him to stop giving sweets to my children.

I remember that some two weeks ago, my daughter complained of pains after urinating. I examined her and noticed something unusual, but not much to raise my suspicion.

But I recall asking her if anybody touched her, but as a little child, she did not tell me anything and I did not in my wildest imagination think that a man touched her, so I just treated her and forgot about it. I never suspected this kind of expensive joke.

On the day they brought the phone to me, it was very early in the morning, I had not woken up, but they kept knocking on my door asking to see me. They narrated how they borrowed the handset from the guard the previous night.

I got so mad after watching the clip that I wanted to fight him, but my husband advised me not to act harshly because that would make him run away and it would be difficult for us to arrest him.

The suspect has not given reasons why he  recorded the wicked act but  the matter has been reported to the police. The clip also showed the little girl protesting to be left alone, while the man engaged in the despicable act.

A 68-year-old retired civil servant has lost N 2.3 million, which he just withdrew from a bank, to prostitutes at Interbua roundabout, in Asaba, Delta.

The incident occurred last weekend when the commercial sex workers hanging around the area got to know about the withdrawal he made earlier in the day and seduced him to patronise them.

The old man reportedly entertained the prostitutes in an hotel around Anwai road, who seduced him till he parted with the money.

Speaking of his experience with the ladies, the pensioner said, “I got to town and settled with my long time friend in Okpanam town whom I thought had long disengaged from his Casanova lifestyle, not knowing that he was still very much neck deep in the game.”

According to him, the money he went to withdraw was meant for the purchase of building materials and planks.

The father of six said his friend encouraged him to have fun with the ladies, rather than dissuade him from

Premier League’s highest-earn ing managers

We kick off with Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers who earns just above the average for a top flight manager.

During the Northern Irishman ‘s two years and four month reign at the club he has transformed the Redmen from eighth place to title contenders. Manuel Pellegrini Man City £3.47m-a-year When he arrived in Manchester last summer, Manuel Pellegrini did so with great pressure on his shoulders.

That didn’t seem to worry the Chilean though, as he delivered City their second league title in three seasons and took them to their most advanced stage in the Champions League. His salary is modest in comparison to the remaining managers on this list, and seems well worth the outlay.

Arsene Wenger Arsenal £6.89m-a-year. The Premier League’s most experienced boss, Arsene Wenger changed the culture of football in England when he arrived at Arsenal in 1996 and has since become
woven into the fabric of the club.

That longevity has also resulted in bumper salary, although given his delivery of just one trophy over the past eight seasons asks questions of his high earnings.

Louis van Gaal Man United
£7m-a-year Man United appear to have learned from the mistake in appointing David Moyes as Sir Alex Ferguson’s successor by opting for high-level experience in their latest appointment Louis van Gaal.

However, such a managerial signing comes at a price, with the Red Devils lavishing a reported £7m-a-year for the Dutchman’s services. Only time will tell if it is money well spent.
Jose Mourinho Chelsea £8.37m-a-year Jose Mourinho’s track record for success makes him one of the world’s best managers and as one of the world’s best he is able to command astronomical money.

Mourinho returned to Chelsea last summer following a five-year spell away from Stamford Bridge and while he did to mark his homecoming with silverware, the Blues look in good shape to do so this season.

SA man tested for Ebola

Johannesburg - The National Institute for Communicable Diseases (NICD) will conduct an Ebola test on a South African man, it said on Thursday.

"Although this patient would not be considered as a suspected Ebola case, the NICD will conduct an Ebola test so as to allay patient and health worker fears and create confidence in the health system," said spokesperson Nombuso Shabalala.

"All testing for the Ebola virus is conducted at the NICD's Special Pathogens BSL4 laboratory in Johannesburg."

She said the results would be available within the next 48 hours.

The NICD denied a claim on Thursday that the man had contracted Ebola.

"This is not correct. A South African man who worked as a fleet manager in Sierra Leone got anxious [upon his return], and was referred to Addington Hospital," said NICD public health, surveillance, and response head Lucille Blumberg.

"In fact, he did not go [to the hospital], as he did not fulfil what we call a 'suspect for Ebola'. There was no indication - he never had a risk and there was no suspected case."

Shabalala said the KwaZulu-Natal health department arranged for his admission on Thursday, to allow further assessment and to check specifically for other infections including malaria, given the absence of risk factors and no direct exposure to persons with Ebola disease.

The Health and Other Services Personnel Trade Union of SA (Hospersa) said in a statement on Thursday that a patient who contracted Ebola had "absconded" from the hospital.

"Hospersa has received reports from panicked members at Addington Hospital that after tests had confirmed a patient to be infected with the Ebola virus the patient absconded from the hospital yesterday [Wednesday]."

The Star reported on Thursday that a suspected Ebola patient was admitted to the hospital.

When asked whether a blood sample was taken because there was a suspicion of Ebola, KwaZulu-Natal health MEC Sibongiseni Dhlomo told the newspaper "Yebo" [yes].

Without D'Banj, I Would Have Been A Waste, He Made Me-- Don Jazzy

Don Jazzy and D'Banj

The name Don Jazzy today surely commands some respect in the Nigerian showbiz world. A decade ago, when such name is mentioned, questions would arise about who and what does the name mean.

Like that tiny tear in a cloth that was never quickly stitched, Don Jazzy expanded and took many by storm in the entertainment industry to the extent that there is nothing anyone can do about him anymore. To some industry icons he used to see as 'big thing' in the game, this multiple award-winning producer has surpassed them.

Not wanting the Yoruba proverbial saying that 'the river that forgets its source would get dried up', Don Jazzy went online to give honour to those due, especially those who have influenced his booming career.

After paying his first respect to 2Face, he stated about JJC when he posted, "Kudos to JJC for without him, I would still be doing 'tungba' (local) music. [I am] not saying that it (tungba music) is not good. But I found out I was better doing something else."

Turning to D'Banj, Don Jazzy has this to say, "KUDOS to my bro, D'Banj for without him, my production skills I gathered from JJC might have been a waste. Dude made me Don Jazzy."

He went ahead to honour Wande Coal, D'Prince and others including his Federal Government College, Ijanikin, Lagos pals.

According to the actor, Nollywood has lost it's salt. He also went ahead to state that five people in the industry have taken over the guild.

« "I have stopped acting for a while now because the industry has lost its salt. The actors were putting some acts that were annoying me. I acted in Nigerian movies with a Nigerian accent, but other countries shouldn't come here and try to change our accent. When I see my colleagues forming fake accents, I always wonder, 'What's wrong with this one?' If you are an Indian, you do it like the Indians, likewise other countries. I must tell you, I am too busy for that. So I got myself busy with other better things than living fake Nollywood life."

«"There are five people who have taken the law of Nigerian movie industry into their hands. They are Emma Ogugua, Murphy Stephen, Sunny McDon, Okey Bakassi and Ifeanyi Dikeh. These five people registered AGN as their personal business. No other individual can come in.

«The idea is money rules the world. Money is the main reason they are there. There are some people who rejoice whenever Nigeria is losing in a football match. Some other people make more money when Nigeria loses match in an international stadium. Some people just sit and wait for things to go wrong in Nigeria, that's when they make huge money.

« These people you can't do anything to them. They are the enemies of the nation. They are in every sector; banking, oil and gas, and the entertainment industry is not left out. They make things not to work, but they, as individuals are going forward. But we have to try to get these kinds of people off our back to be able to move forward.

«"We have had AGN for long, but I can't remember the last time we had actors' congress, where all speak their minds on issues bothering the industry. The last congress was when Vivian Ejike was still here, Kate Henshaw too was still very much in the business."

Update: Jonathan collects PDP nomination form

They Told Me to Join a Cult If I Must Become Governor - Labaran Maku inShare

Labran Maku, former information minister and a Nasarawa Governorship aspirant on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP said he was asked to join a cult if he must become Governor. Maku made the disclosure during an interview session with THE SUN where he talked about his upbringing, education and political dreams.

I wanted to vie to be governor, and some people came to my home and said look, you cannot just be governor. We have to recruit you into a cult. My wife and I were sitting after the morning prayer. They insisted that becoming the governor is not just a matter of preaching. They said there is a cult I need to join, and there are 12 people controlling the world, so if I agree then they would recruit me and with that I would become the governor.

I quickly ordered them to get out of my house. “You are a shame, you came with a Bible and you are telling me this story. I told them that I want to be governor just to help, just to serve but if being governor will separate me from my God then to hell with it.”

I said look at the trees outside, the goats outside God created them, I came into the world and I am a human being. Some things came into the world as flies, cockroaches, ants, but I came into the world as a human being therefore God has already made me a governor over all his kingdoms. So anything that you are giving me as governor cannot add anything to me. Therefore I want to rejoice with God for making me a human being not because I have been in any office. See the experience of animals around you God created them, look at the trees outside they will never move from where there are. So I am rejoicing not because of those things, so I drove them from my house. Well, as you know the story I didn’t become a governor I returned to my village.

President Jonathan is Not The Problem of the APC -Okorocha

Imo state Governor, Rochas Okorocha on Wednesday told members and leaders of the All Progressives Congress, APC that President Goodluck Jonathan is not the problem of the party.

Okorocha made the statement after APC National Chairman, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun, presented him as one of the party's presidential aspirants. Others presented include; Gen. Muhammadu Buhari, Mr Sam Nda-Isaiah and Governor Rabiu Kwankwaso of Kano State.

Okorocha told the APC crowd, "President Jonathan is not the problem of the APC. The only problem is to produce an acceptable, presentable candidate to defeat PDP.

"If my presidency will not end insurgency, put food on the table for the common man, produce free education to university level, then may it not work,’’ Okorocha said.

I‘ll not contest 2015 election – Jonatha

ANKARA, TURKEY — President Goodluck Jonathan, yesterday, said he has no ambition to stay in office beyond 2015, assuring Nigerians in Diaspora that while he will not contest the 2015 election, he will ensure that this year’s election is free and fair.

The President promised that if voted in for the next four years, he would ensure significant improvement in key sectors of the economy — security, power, education, road, health amongst others.
“Without security, there is no government. So it is not debatable, it is something we have to addressed and we are working towards that with vigour. But if I’m voted into power within the next four years, the issue of power will become a thing of the past. Four years is enough for anyone in power to make significant improvement and if I can’t improve on power within this period, it then means I cannot do anything even if I am there for the next four years.”
Jonathan said this while interacting with Nigerians mainly diplomats working in the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa, UNECA, and the African Union, AU, in Addis-Ababa.

While fielding questions from those present at the interactive session on whether Nigerians abroad will vote, Jonathan said: “I would have loved that the Nigerians in Diaspora vote this year but to be frank with you, that is going to be difficult now. Presently, the law does not allow the voting outside Nigeria and so this year Nigerians in Diaspora will not vote but I will work towards it by 2015 even though I will not be running for election.”

On the issue of security, Jonathan said the government was doing everything possible to arrest the situation. He disclosed that all those involved in the October 1 bombing had been arrested and were being prosecuted. He, however, said he ordered the release of the car dealers because they were just businessmen who could not have known that the vehicles were to be used for such heinous crime.
On education, the President said, the nine new approved universities were to be specialised and to be headed by at least three Nigerians experts in Diaspora.

On the concerns raised of having a database of Nigerian experts in Diaspora, President Jonathan assured that he was working on creating a forum for interaction between them and government and also develop a database, where experts needed to address the various challenges of the economy will be drawn. He hinted that this was why the Diaspora Commission was being set up as the bill was already before the National Assembly.

The President also disclosed that the government is looking towards reviewing the country’s foreign policy to ensure that Nigeria gets maximum benefit from its roles and contributions to international organizations like the AU, UN and ECOWAS.

He lamented that right now Nigeria’s contributions were not being recognized adding that “there is need for Nigeria to have something in return for our investments. We are investing so much but it is not being noticed and there is need to reverse that trend.

On the concerns about road network and transportation in the country, President Jonathan assured that the railway system will be revamp because presently heavy duty vehicles were destroying the roads. “Why we cannot have continuous road maintenance for now because no contractor wants to go into it because of the continuous pressure on the road by heavy duty vehicles. That is why we are working to ensure that we revamp the rail”.
The President also assured that Nigerians working in international organization and institutions would be issued diplomatic passports. He directed the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Odein Ajumogobia to submit the list of those qualified within the shortest possible time to him.

On the 35 per cent affirmative action implementation and the domestication of protocols signed, he assured that he will present before the National Assembly within the shortest possible time.

Why Tambuwal's Security Was Withdrawn: He's No Longer The Speaker

The Force Public Relations Officer, Emmanuel Ojukwu, in a statement on Thursday in Abuja, hinged the withdrawal of Tambuwal’s security aides on Section 68(1)(g) of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria as amended.

Statement reads, “In view of the recent defection by the Right Hon. Aminu Waziri Tanbuwal, CFR, the Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, from the People Democratic Party to the All Progressive Congress and having regard to the clear provision of section 68(1)(g) of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria as amended, the Nigeria Police Force, has redeployed its personnel attached to his office.”

(The reason is because) Aminu Tambuwal is no longer the speaker of the federal house of reps as per section 68 of the 1999 constitution. All hail the constitution of the federal republic of Nigeria. Anyone dissatisfied with this can go to court. Congratulations to Emeka Ihedioha, the new speaker of the house of reps

Stephen Keshi Return Again To Lead Nigeria In Remaining Afcon Qualifiers.

The Big Boss has been asked to finish the job he begun by leading the Super Eagles to the rest of the qualifiers against Congo and South Africa next month

It seems that Nigeria have not heard the last of coach Stephen Keshi as he is set to return to his role in charge of the Super Eagles for next month’s pair of qualifiers against Congo and South Africa.

On Thursday morning, media officer of the Super Eagles, Toyin Ibitoye tweeted that Keshi is set to return to his job.

Keshi Returns as @NGSuperEagles Coach.

— Toyin Ibitoye (@ToyinIbitoye) October 30, 2014
Goal findings revealed that Keshi has been asked to return to his post as part of reconciliatory moves in the Nigeria Football Federation as ordered by President Goodluck Jonathan.

The President has also asked the faction of Chris Giwa to withdraw its case from court to ensure that Nigeria is not banned by Fifa.

The NFF is yet to release any official statement.

Keshi was relieved of his job on October 16, a day after the Super Eagles defeated Sudan 3-1 in Abuja, by the Amaju Pinnick-led board of the NFF who re-called former coach Shaibu Amodu in an interim capacity.

The African champions had struggled to win just one in four qualifying matches and fans had begun to call for the coach’s sack.

However, the Giwa-led faction had always maintained Keshi was still in charge despite the Big Boss having spoken about intentions to lead the Ghanaian national side, a fact that the GFA has now ruled out.

The 52-year-old will now be in charge for the must-win pair of qualifiers next month. Nigeria are yet to announce their squad.

The Super Eagles have four points and are behind South Africa (eight points), Congo (seven points) but ahead of Sudan (three points) in Group A.
