A family member, Mr. Dele Falodi, who spoke with our correspondent, said the ‘customer’ knocked on the victim’s gate and identified herself as Sade before the gate was opened.
Akingbesote, an indigene of Ijare in Ifedore Local Government Area of the state, was kidnapped at about 7.30pm on Thursday, May 28, 2015 at her home in Oke-Agba area of Akure. The fake customer said she wanted to buy a lace material and while she was negotiating price with Akingbesote, four male accomplices moved into the compound.
“Her husband and children were in the house at the time. The kidnappers brutalised the husband before taking her away. They locked her in the boot of the red Golf car they brought there and zoomed off,” Falodi told our correspondent on the phone.
As of the time of filing this report on Friday evening, the kidnappers had yet to make contact with the family of the victim.
