Liberia’s President Declares Free Tuition In All Public Universities

                        

President George Manneh Weah on Thursday declared that all undergraduates entering public universities across the country will enjoy free tuition.

“Today, I’m excited to announce that I have declared the University of Liberia and all other Public Universities in Liberia tuition free for all undergraduates,” Weah wrote on Facebook without giving any further details.

Divers swim through 90 feet of raw sewage to unclog giant, hairy ‘fatberg’

                                  

A team of divers in South Carolina went plunging to the dirtiest depths — up to 90 feet — in raw sewage to unclog pipes blocked by so-called “flushable” wipes, officials said.

The Charleston Water System announced their assault Monday on social media against non-flushable items that clogged pumps beginning on Thursday at the Plum Island Wastewater Treatment Center, including thousands of baby wipes, a baseball and a large piece of metal.

Daughter sues dad for refusing her marriage

                              

A 20-year-old woman, Amina Hassan, yesterday took her father, Hassan Adamu, to a Sharia Court in Magajin Gari, Kaduna for his refusal to allow her marry the man she loves.

The woman, who lives with her grandmother on Bashama Road, Tudun Wada, Kaduna said through her lawyer, Ado Ali that she wanted the court to order her father to marry her off to her heartthrob.

Grandma accused of stabbing toddler, burning her inside oven

                                    

The death of a 20-month-old girl found stabbed and burned inside an oven of a Mississippi Delta home led to a murder charge Tuesday against the child’s grandmother, authorities said.

Bolivar County Sheriff Kelvin Williams Sr. said 48-year-old Carolyn Jones was charged with first-degree murder in the death of Royalty Marie Floyd in the town of Shaw.
