Janet Jackson is pregnant with her and husband Wissam Al Mana’s first child, E! News has learned.
The news comes about a month after the 49-year-old pop star announced she was stopping her Unbreakable world tour because she and her husband “are planning our family.” She added she had to “rest up—doctor’s orders” but did not specify if she was expecting a child, if she and Al Mana were trying to conceive or if they planned on adopting.

Firm begins crude oil production in Lagos
An oil firm, Yinka Folawiyo Petroleum Company Limited (YFP), has started the production of crude oil from its Aje Field located in Block OML 113, offshore Lagos.
The firm said oil produced from the Aje field will be stored on the Front Puffin, which has production capacity of 40,000 barrels of oil per day and storage capacity of 750,000 barrels.

Buhari ready to put food on the table of Nigerians – Tinubu’s wife
Wife of the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC, and Senator representing Lagos Central, Oluremi Tinubu, has assured Nigerians of the current administration’s effort to end hunger in the country, stressing that President Muhammadu Buhari is ready to put food on their table.
Oluremi gave the assurance while contributing to a debate on a bill seeking to make “provisions for freedom from hunger and the right to adequate food of acceptance quality” by Senator Theodore Orji from Abia central.

PHOTO: Gunmen attack commercial bus, kill targeted passenger in Lagos
Commuters on a bus on the Ikorodu Road, Lagos State, were shell-shocked after some gunmen in a Camry blocked their path and killed a passenger.
It was gathered that the four men, wielding guns, cutlasses and daggers quickly made their way into the vehicle immediately they waylaid it.
A 40-year-old passenger, identified as Olusola Bamidele, was said to have been dragged down from the bus and butchered.

Google removes Afghan Taliban smartphone app
Google has removed a Taliban smartphone app from its online store, the US Internet giant said Monday, countering the tech-savvy Afghan militant group's increasing efforts to boost global visibility.
The Taliban launched their foray into smartphone apps on Friday with a Pashto language app called "Alemarah", giving access to propaganda statements and videos.

Operatives of the Nigeria Police Force have rescued three teenage girls, who were abducted in Bauchi State and forcefully converted to Islam.

TB Joshua Assists Nigerians Deported from Libya with N4m
Thirty-nine of the reported 172 Nigerians who were deported from Libya on Friday 11th March 2016 were received by Pastor T.B. Joshua of The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations (SCOAN) during his church service on Sunday 13th March.
According to a post on the church’s official Facebook page, the deportees were each given the sum of N100,000 by Joshua, who is well known for his charitable gestures.
Fidelis Onos, who spoke on behalf of the group, said that most of them had been imprisoned for up to one year in Libya after they were suddenly arrested.

EFCC Traces N3bn Transfers to Fani-Kayode, Falae, Others
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has traced N3.145bn transferred to the private accounts of some members of the Peoples Democratic Party Presidential Campaign Organisation.
According to detectives at the EFCC, the money emanated from the account of the Central Bank of Nigeria and was transferred to the account of a company, Joint Dimensions Limited, and then sent to various accounts.
