YAYA TOURE HANDED PREMIER LEAGUE CLUB JOB

       

Manchester City great Yaya Toure has been given a coaching job at a top Premier League club as the Ivorian heads into the next phase of his football career.

While establishing himself as one of Africa’s top stars during his time with Barcelona, Toure enjoyed a successful spell in England with the Citizens.

Considered to be one of the pioneers of City’s rise to prominence in the Premier League, the African star joined the English giants in 2010.

During his eight year spell with City, Toure won three Premier League titles, 3 League Cup medals and a FA Cup trophy.

Now at the age of 39, the Guardian reports that Toure a full-time coaching role in the Tottenham Hotspur academy. The Ivorian spent time with Spurs since December while he worked towards his UEFA A Licence.

Toure had his hand in coaching roles in the past, mentoring sides such as Olimpic Donetsk and Akhmat Gronzy in Ukraine and Russia respectively.

At Spurs, it’s reported that Toure was handed his own age group to coach as he looks to climb the managerial ladder.
