African top stars, Obafemi Martins, Asamoah Gyan and Demba Ba failed to score for their respective Chinese Super League clubs Shanghai SIPG and Shanghai Shenhua in a derby which ended 1-1.
The widely travelled Nigeria striker Obafemi Martins and Demba Ba featured for Shanghai Shenhua, while Gyan was on parade for the hosts Shanghai SIPG.
The Ghanaian hitman, Asamoah Gyan played for the entire duration, while Martins was introduced to the game in the 45th minute to replace goal scorer Giovani Moreno.
Senegal striker Demba Ba failed to score the winner for Shanghai Shenhua in the 15th minute from the penalty spot.
