Live Photos now senses when the user raises or lowers their phone so the app won’t automatically record those movements, and the keyboard’s shift key has changed to make it clearer when text is uppercase or in caps lock.

Apple News comes to the UK for the first time, and the Settings app includes a function that lets users disable photos for contacts.

The app also introduces 150 new emojis including a burrito, cricket bat and the middle finger, so you can be rude to your friends without having to type a single letter.
