Donald Trump barreled into the Hillary Clinton email controversy in a fresh way Friday - accusing her top aide of spilling classified secrets to her notorious husband, Anthony Weiner, and calling him a “perv” and a sleazebag.”
No topic was taboo for the gregarious Republican front-runner as he riled up a crowd of supporters at a Massachusetts rally Friday with allegations that Clinton had misused her private email server as Secretary of State. That led him to Clinton’s top aide.
“Huma Abedin is married to a bad guy. Anthony Weiner is one of great sleazebags of our time,” Trump told a cheering crowd. “So Huma is getting classified secrets, she’s married to Anthony Weiner, who’s a perv.”
As a congressman in 2011, Weiner was caught up in an online love affair and sexting scandal that spilled into his mayoral run two years later.
Talking in Norwood, Mass., Trump alleged that Abedin must have been sharing top secret information with her husband of five years.
“If you think that Huma isn’t telling Anthony, who she’s probably desperately in love with, in all fairness to Anthony, ‘cause why else would she marry this guy,” Trump said in yet another of his rambling rants.
Trump also suggested Weiner's wife Huma Abedin - a top aide to Hillary Clinton - must be sharing Clinton's secrets with her husband.
Trump continued to attack the couple and women in general, saying that any woman who loves her husband would be loose-lipped, even with classified information.
Do you think there’s even a 5% chance she’s not telling Anthony Weiner, now of a public relations firm, what the hell is coming across?” the Republican front-runner asked. “Are there any women in this room who are in love with their husbands who wouldn’t be telling them everything?”
Trump, who has made no effort to hide contributions he has made to campaigns on both sides of the aisle, gave $2,000 to Weiner’s 2010 bid for reelection to Congress.
“I know Anthony Weiner for a long time,” Trump said. “I knew before they caught him with the bing bing bing, and he was a bad guy then. It turns out he was a really bad guy.”
A Clinton spokesman said, “He should be ashamed of himself, and others in his own party should take a moment to stand up to him and draw the line for once. It's embarrassing to watch frankly."

Meanwhile, Trump defended disgraced former CIA Director David Petraeus.
“His life was destroyed for 2% of what Hillary did,” the blowhard billionaire said of the former four-star general who was sentenced to two years’ probation and ordered to pay $100,000 fine after providing classified information to his mistress and biographer.
Earlier in the evening, Trump played to the hometown crowd as he defended Deflategate-tainted football star Tom Brady.
“Leave Tom Brady alone,” Trump told a crowd of reporters when asked about the Patriots quarterback. “Tom Brady is an honest guy.”
Brady was suspended by the NFL for four games for his role in the cheating scandal in which underinflated footballs were used by the New England Patriots in the AFC Championship game in January.
