Photos & Video: People in Japan Are Taking Wine Baths

The flavoured pools are just outside Tokyo (Picture: Hello Japan)

At the end of a hard day do you unwind with a glass of wine and a hot bath?
Well, a resort in Japan have taken relaxation to the next level by combining the two.

Just outside of Tokyo, in a magical place called Hakone Kowakien Yunessun, a public bath has been filled with lukewarm wine.

Sort of like a sangria human soup.

Delicious.

Props to Hello! Japan for the footage above, which shows a lot of happy revellers hanging out in a booze pool.

There does look to be quite a lot of children in the pool filled by a giant bottle of red, but the parents don’t look too concerned.

Ok, so the coffee one doesn’t too appealing (Picture: Hello Japan)

If you fancy a caffeine boost there’s also an option to soak in a coffee bath, which looks uncomfortably like dirty dish water.

Or if you find yourself in desperate need of a detox, take a dip in the green tea pool and pretend it doesn’t look like each and every one of your fellow swimmers has taken a p*ss.

Super relaxing, we’re sure you’ll agree.
