Gov. Uduaghan’s Shocking Confession


Gov. Emmanuel Uduaghan of Delta State made some confession recently. The medical doctor turned politician confessed that it was impunity, intimidation and lack of internal democracy that made the PDP lose terribly in the just concluded elections. He added that some national executives of the party were hell-bent to cut the PDP governors to size thereby reducing their influence within the party in their various states. He said at a time the national chairman of the party was treating the governors like nobodies.

The hardworking governor revealed that the national chairman of the party was always giving query to the governors. Also, he insisted division of the Governors’ Forum by the PDP created more problems for the party and some governors have to leave the party for the opposition party.

That’s not all, His Excellency, revealed the impunity that rock the PDP primaries caused a serious problem. When some popular candidates won the primaries, their names were dropped by the National Working Committee members in Abuja and their names were replaced by those who came third at the primaries and then sent to INEC to contest elections.

He said so many party loyalists were so angry and bitter and they left the party and those that were left were not strong enough to deliver. He confessed that the PDP have no strategic team to win the presidential election and those who strived to help were ignored. He added that it became so bad that President Goodluck Jonathan had to take over the presidential campaign personally but it was rather too late.
