Video Shows Crowd Cheering ‘As Men Raped Woman During A Party’

A ‘sickening’ video seen by police showed a crowd watching on as a young woman was allegedly raped on a beach during spring break.
The footage showed several men surrounding an incapacitated woman on a beach chair near the Spinaker Beach Club in Panama City Beach, Florida.
They then allegedly sexually assaulted her, but what surprised officers even more was a large group of onlookers did nothing, with some even cheering the apparent attack.

Troy University students Delonte Martistee, a 22-year-old senior from Bainbridge, Georgia, and Ryan Calhoun, a 23-year-old sophomore from Mobile, Alabama, were arrested and charged in connection with the incident on Thursday in Alabama.

Bay County Sheriff Frank McKeithen described the video as ‘very, very graphic’ and called it the ‘most disgusting, sickening thing’ he had ever seen.
The victim told authorities that she thought she had been drugged at the time, and she did not remember the incident well enough to report it.

Martistee remained in jail Sunday in Panama City, while Calhoun was released on bond. The sheriff’s office said additional arrests were expected.
Both students have been suspended from Troy University.
The video was acquired during a separate shooting investigation, with the alleged rape taking place sometime between March 10 and March 12.
