Kim Kardashian: I "Was Told I Could Never Get Pregnant," Used toBe "Unhappy" With My Body

dashian is thankful for her "best friend" North West more than fans may have realized. In Elle UK's upcoming "Confidence Issue," Kanye West's wife reveals that she struggled to get pregnant before
welcoming the couple's daughter in June 2013.

"A few years ago I was told I could never get pregnant," Kardashian, 34, tells the mag. "Three different doctors told me the same thing, which is why I wanted to have my eggs frozen. I was just about to do that when I found out I was pregnant with North."
With their little girl now in tow, Kardashian doesn't appear to be worried about the doctor's previous warnings. Instead, she hopes to give North a sibling (ASAP!) and sister Kourtney's kids Mason, 4, and Penelope, 2, another cousin. (Pregnant Kourtney and longtime love Scott Disick are set to welcome a third
child this month.)

"I want a boy and another girl; I want it to start happening straightaway," Kardashian tells the mag. "I loved being part of a huge family – and I want that for North. We'd do IVF if nothing happens, but we both want to keep trying naturally."
The reality star has remained confident while tackling motherhood -- and the same goes for her self-esteem. After "breaking the Internet" with her Paper magazine nude photo shoot last month, Kardashian said on several occasions (and in so many words) that she loves her curvy figure.
"It's taken me a long time to be happy with my body and for my confidence to grow to what it is today. I grew up when the body to have was the tall, slim, supermodel one, like Cindy Crawford's. No one looked like me," she tells Elle UK. "It's good to break the mold and recreate one. I'm an Armenian girl, I have shape, and it turned out people liked that. That makes me feel good about myself and about other women for being so supportive. I am a confident woman, but I didn't just arrive confident – it has built over the years and that is a big part of who I am now."

One person who helped her along the way was her late father, Robert Kardashian. When she was 13, the lawyer wrote her an emotional and sweet letter to comfort her when she was particularly down about herself.

"I was unhappy with my body – I developed really early. Every night I would sit in the bath and cry, I prayed my boobs would stop growing," she recalls. "He told me I had a body not many girls have, that later it would lead to attention from men, but that the most important thing was that I was a wonderful girl and I had to understand my self-worth."
Kardashian has obviously gained attention for her body and famous family over the years, but that doesn't mean she was thrilled when naked photos of her were leaked online back in September.

"I feel violated because these are private pictures. I didn't choose for them to be out there. But I'm also realistic," she says. "I'm on covers of magazines practically naked, so I can't go crazy about it. The only choice I can make is to not let it shake me up. I'm not having that choice taken away from me."
Kardashian has her bad days, but she's not alone. Kris and Bruce Jenner's model daughter Kendall Jenner has been ridiculed for her new career path in recent months. Kim, however, couldn't be prouder. "I think she will be a huge star," she says of the 19-year-old. "I definitely think she will be bigger than I have ever been."
